I don't know how to compare short (almost) perfect career with big names like Madonna, who had many hits, but also a lot weak/average singles. That's why it's just a list and not a countdown. Only my top 10 will be in the preference order.

Yes, I love beautiful blonde singers and never denied that.

If you don't share/understand it, so will be better don't post any comments in this thread.

Thats a really nice recording for something almost 100 years old! The romantic lyrics of that era often bordered on cliche but its rather sweet hearing terms like "dearie" that have dropped out of use

  • I can't recommend her for everybody, but she is funny enough despite strict/maybe even rude lyrics.

Before a main list we will do a long journey into 1920s music and you will know the name of oldest female singer, which I like.

Ruth Etting

Country : United States

She was born in 1896 year, for comparison Vera Lynn was born in 1917. Ruth had many hits in 1920s and 1930s decades.

Let's listen "After You've Gone" from 1927 year, which was the first her song, which I found on Youtube.

She has a nice voice in the singing style of the 20s and is mostly new to me though i have heard of her. When i was a kid a big singing star of that era was appearing in TV shows as an older actor so he was the first I really was aware of - Rudy Vallee. Ruth singing voice and style has weathered better though!

For the start I wanted to select the act, which nobody will not include in their all-time best list.

There were many interesting choices, but I wish to start with her.

In the end it will be interesting to count the acts, which you didn't know before. I predict the best result somewhere near 20 out of 100.

Kat McSnatch

Country : Australia

My song choice : Love

"You Are A C##t" became small viral hit on Youtube in 2014 year, but there are some other funny tracks on "Respectable Member".

Other favourite songs :

Usually two big "Gražios Dainos" # 1 hits are enough for including in this great music list.

Tight Fit

Country : United Kingdom

My song choice : I'm Undecided

Other favourite songs :

Fantasy Island : www.youtube.com/watch?v=bUShvnknipE

Waiting For The Rain : www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucizMVNm9BI

"Waiting For The Rain" is wonderful fresh song, almost as good as new (Bucks) Fizz music.

I like seeing Belinda and Katy from the list so far, I like Belinda from her 80s hits and even recently she had some tunes!
And Katy Perry's songs from 2008 to 2012 are also very nice.

Betty Owczarek (Femme Fatale)

Country : Belgium

My song choice : Decadence

Other favourite songs :

Je T'aime Melancolie : www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAU2Gj5bI_A

Come To Me : www.youtube.com/watch?v=cY61TO1lLIA

"Decadence" is true classic of Eurovision pre-selections, sadly Belgium wasn't brave enough to select it in 2008 year.
