Moses Itauma's fight against American Jermaine Franklin has been rescheduled for March after the British heavyweight picked up an injury while training.

The fight, which was due to take place on 24 January at Manchester's Co-Op Live Arena, will now take place at the same venue on 28 March.

Itauma further strengthened his credentials as one of the top contenders in the division when beating Dillian Whyte by knockout in August.

The 21-year-old is unbeaten in 13 fights while 32-year-old Franklin has 24 wins and two losses on his record.

"Unfortunately Moses Itauma has sustained an injury in camp and therefore the Magnificent 7 show has been re-scheduled for 28 March," promoters Queensberry said.

Adam Azim's light-welterweight contest with Gustavo Lemos has been postponed after both fighters sustained hand injuries.

Azim and Lemos were set to headline the event at London's Copper Box Arena on Saturday, 31 January, which is being shown across the BBC.

Promoter Boxxer said Argentina's Lemos was first to injure his hand and a replacement had been secured.

But Briton Azim suffered an injury in his final sparring session and scan results received yesterday confirmed he is unable to compete.

"The IBF number two eliminator, set for Saturday, January 31, will be rescheduled after both fighters sustained injuries in training," Boxxer said in a statement.

The event, which is due to be broadcast on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer, is still expected to go ahead.

Derek Chisora will face former world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder in London in April in his 50th career fight.

Chisora, 42, said last year he would retire after a 50th bout which would take place overseas.

But BBC Sport understands the Briton has instead chosen to take on Wilder in London on 4 April.
