Gorillaz a very easy fave for me this week, love the blend of production styles and the melancholy vocals, beautiful track. I think both the Arlo and Mitski songs will grow on me more, a surprising direction for the former to go in but I think it works well, and I was taking a while to get into the latter but the crescendo of fuzzy guitars at the end was selling me enough to add it to my playlist. The Master Peace song was cool, him and Declan bounce off each other well enough but it did feel quite underwritten and repetitive (and I was just listening to the music video version which cuts out about a minute of the song lol). Charli song sounds like an album track/interlude, it's good for atmosphere but will forget about it very quickly. The Flea song had an interesting vibe but just didn't feel like it was going anywhere for the runtime of the song. The two covers are both pretty much what they say on the tin, I'd never choose to listen to them over the originals, the CHVRCHES one in particular just kind of sounded like advert slop, listenable enough but I'll wait for some actual new material from them x
