That's a rather typical reaction of teenager brought up on nothing but dreck like "Scream", "I Know What You Did Last Summer" and all the other sh!te coming out of America that passes for horror films these days..... <_< The original "Hellraiser" is a fantastic slice of Contemporary Gothic Horror, if you'd actually read Barker's original book, "The Hellbound Heart", you'd maybe actually get it....

"Inferno" is utter rubbish, I wouldn't sit through any of the others after this one if you paid me....

I thought number 1 was boring too, yet you only quoted my brother.

He likes Inferno, it's his opinion.

I was disappointed by your post tbh... The comment was directed at both posts, every time I try to do multiple quotations it fukks up.... But I kinda know that you know a bit better having criticised remakes and sequels before...

No point me lying though is there? I just prefer number 2.

ive never seen "scream" nor "you know what i did"..

i know you have an amazing knowledge of films though, and i really respect your opinions. you should be film reviewer!!

i just think that the script let the whole film down in no.1. i liked inferno as it was a nice change from the first 3, and no.4 wasnt very good anyway.

"Hellbound" is okay, but disjointed... The first one is far better in terms of structure... It's only really the first two that actually conform to Barker's vision of the story and themes... "Hell On Earth" is just very, very silly indeed; I mean, are we actually supposed to be scared of the Cenobite who chucks CDs around...?  Please.... "Bloodlines" was an interesting idea in search of a good script and film. The fifth one totally rips off "Angel Heart" in so many ways and is probably the main reason why I dont really like it..

I haven't seen any of the others so I can't comment on them.
