⭐ INTRO — How My Rolling 30‑Day Chart Works

Welcome to my new weekly personal chart! Even though this is Week 1 on BuzzJack, the chart itself isn’t new — I’ve been tracking my listening privately since January 2025, and I’ve finally decided to bring it to the forum.

This is a rolling 30‑day chart, which means it works differently from a normal weekly chart:

✔️ Only the last 30 days count

Every Wednesday, the chart updates based on what I’ve listened to in the past 30 days only. If I played a song 31 days ago, those plays automatically drop out of the window.

✔️ The chart never resets — it constantly shifts

Because it’s rolling, the chart is always moving. Songs rise, fall, or drop out depending on:

• what I’ve replayed recently

• what I’ve stopped listening to

• what’s fallen out of the 30‑day window

• new songs I’ve discovered and binged

A song can climb even if I don’t play it again — simply because older plays from other songs have expired.

✔️ New songs can debut high instantly

If I binge something across a few days, it can enter straight into the Top 10 or even Top 5.

✔️ Long‑running favourites can stay around for ages

If I keep replaying something every week, it can build a long chart run even without being #1.

✔️ Everything is based on my actual Last.fm scrobbles

No estimates, no guesses — the chart is 100% data‑driven.

Alongside the weekly updates, I’ll also be building a full archive that goes all the way back to January 2025, covering:

• every Top 10 hit

• long‑running songs

• artist stats

• full chart runs for every track that appears

From Week 2 onwards, each song in the Top 50 will start showing:

• LW (last week’s position)

• Peak

• Weeks on Chart

• Movement arrows

This will make the thread feel like a proper long‑term chart project, not just a weekly list.

Chart Summary — Week Ending 27 May 2026

Michael Jackson returns to the top as The Girl Is Mine climbs 3→1, becoming his latest #1 on the rolling chart. It leads a very tight Top 3, with Olivia Dean rising to #2 and Daft Punk blasting into the Top 3 after a huge rebound.

Stormzy also surges into the Top 5, while last week’s #1 Billie Jean slides to #5 as older plays fall out of the 30‑day window.

The biggest mover inside the Top 10 is Sam Fender, who rockets 17→7 with Rein Me In, boosted by continued replay value and strong momentum across the month.

Mid‑chart, Rosé scores the week’s most dramatic jump, leaping 31→16 with APT., while Gorillaz (40→28) and Bruno Mars (46→31) also post major climbs.

There are six new or returning entries this week, led by Jonas Blue at #25 and Bella Kay scoring her third entry with Promise? at #30. Lower down, Junior Senior, Alex Warren, and Mike Posner all re‑enter after older plays re‑enter the 30‑day window.

The biggest fallers come from the heavy MJ catalogue presence, with I’ll Be There, Thriller, and The Way You Make Me Feel all dropping sharply as their older scrobbles age out.

Overall, it’s a highly active week with major reshuffling across the entire Top 50 — classic rolling‑chart behaviour as the listening window shifts forward.
