Chart Recap | Week 22

Henri Moodie climbs one final place and earns the second #1 with comedown, completing a rise that began as a curiosity and ended as a chart takeover. Sometimes the slow burn wins. Sometimes it jumps twenty-eight places first.🤪

Last week's leader PinkPantheress slips to #2 with Girl Like Me, while Victoria Nadine & Kygo continue their steady ascent to #3 with Can't Get Enough - a title that, judging by the chart run, appears factually accurate.

The week's highest new entry belongs to sombr, debuting at #4 with i wish i knew how to quit you. A song title that sounds less like a single and more like a message that probably shouldn't have been sent.🤭

Just behind, Damiano David reaches a new peak at #5 with Tangerine, while The Kolors remain firmly in contention at #6 with Rolling Stones.

The biggest climber of the week comes from Morgan Wallen, who vaults 18 places to #7 with Crazy Eyes. The chart has clearly decided that caution is overrated.🙃

My First Time continue their impressive rise to #9 with The Kids Are, while Stephen Sanchez remains in the Top 10 with Love, Love, Love - proving once again that repetition can be a perfectly valid strategy.

Further up the chart, Jamala climbs to #11 with Zamovkny, and GIMS rises to #12 with Emprise, both quietly building momentum while others are busy falling apart around them.

A cluster of notable debuts arrives this week: Slayyyter enters at #17 with Dance..., apparently deciding that three dots are enough explanation; Liv Del Estal arrives at #18 with Cœur Titane, bringing a welcome dose of French elegance to proceedings. At #24, Wet Leg debut with CPR - a useful service considering how many songs are currently experiencing dramatic declines.

Further down, Janika Roolof, Arsen Mirzoyan, Freya Skye, Maren Morris, and A-Mase & Alysia Sun all make first appearances, giving the lower half of the chart the appearance of a very busy arrivals terminal.

Not everyone enjoys the journey: former chart-topper Sarah Connor tumbles 16 places to #19 with Bye Bye, suddenly taking the title far more literally than intended; Muse fall sharply with Cryogen after last week's impressive debut, while Ditonellapiaga's Che Fastidio! finally shows signs of living up to its name after ten weeks on the chart.

Hi there!

Nice to see "I Wish I Knew How To Quit You" in the top 5 and the new peak for "Canzone Estiva".

Sad that "Rolling Stones" dropped a place, but glad it is still in contention.

Great chart!

Take care.

Hi,

great to have Slayyyter and Live Del Estal in your top 20. The Sombr song is also decent.

Hi bgoood hope you're doing well.

Amazing to see Liv del Estal here! I just entered that song to the BuzzJack Song Contest (basically the forum's version of Eurovision) and it performed well there, yay. Glad you're a fan too

Other great debuts include 'CPR' and 'DANCE...'! Slayyyter's latest album has had me in a chokehold for a couple of months now, so good.

Hey Bgoood! :)

Glad to see the debuts for 'Dance...' & 'Petty'.

Good chart!

Hi Serg,

don't you worry, Rolling Stones are still in high demand in my airplay😉

sombr makes a stong debut but we'll see how it goes: Annalisa has a bit less potential but who knows, maybe it'll grow on me over time🙃

Hi Jade

Moin DaTilt,

Hey Birdy Swifty,

Liv del Estal and Slayter - excellent bands and strong competitors for my Top 20 mainstays. Luv their sound & music fusion!🤟

Wet Leg after Chaise Lounge era faded a little but CPR still sounds good.

Freya is lovely with her first two singles petty and silent treatment.

Thank you all so much for keeping my chart on your radars!👍
