DESERT DEALINGS: The lineup for the 2027 edition of AEG/Goldenvoice’s Coachella will materialize in the next few weeks, and when it does, sources say to expect surging Australian rock outfit Tame Impala (booked by CAA) and global pop star Dua Lipa (CAA) as headliners, plus dance darling Fred again.. (THE•TEAM) in the special “EDM giant at the bottom of the poster” slot. Scheduled for April 9-11 and 16-18 at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the event went clean in May with its initial advance sale.

Dua has never done a full solo set at the event but guested with Martin Garrix back in 2017. Insiders report that her CAA team has been in talks with Coachella for some time about a booking, but that until recently, festival reps had passed.

Yeah, that would be ideal. I guess the rumours that she might release the album next year would be true if this happens.

TURN OF THE WHEEL: As the biz waits impatiently to scrutinize Coachella’s 2027 admat, word has it the Goldenvoice fest has been struggling to lock down headliners. With Tame Impala, Dua Lipa and Fred Again.. on board, they’re looking for one more big name—and talks with BTS have reportedly fizzled.

I guess there's not anything new about this, but The Sun is reporting that there's "advanced talks" that the Coachella headlining is happening as you could read their latest article here.

Dua Lipa is in advanced talks to headline Coachella – and cement her place as Britain’s most successful female pop export since the Spice Girls. She would be following in the footsteps of Lady Gaga and Sabrina Carpenter by topping the bill at America’s answer to Glastonbury next April. Securing Dua will be a coup for Coachella organisers, who I’m told were gutted after being turned down by K-Pop superstars BTS.

A source said: “Dua initially was in talks with Coachella in 2023, but ultimately she went with Glastonbury. Now, after a huge worldwide stadium tour, Coachella bosses have pulled out all the stops to get her to headline. The shows would kick off her new era and cement her as one of the pop greats.”
