Posted September 23Sep 23 A lack of Discord shows means Matilda Mann can have minor album impact, but also means a firestorm of Macklemore songs and the most politically angry anthems in the last three years boiling over. This is all due to the Ed Sheeran issue, continued ICE problems, and my country's Martial Law anniversary. The latter sees the EDSA song of Virna Lisa tying ABBA, Rachel Croft and Deafheaven for the most weeks at #1 in the new charts, with three. I usually want to steer clear of politics because I've lost my faith in humanity and my jaded cynical self usually feels like fighting against the demons in this world is a lost cause that'll only give the craven losers more attention they don't deserve. However, I do understand that silence is oppression, so this chart is the least I could do to speak up, even if more subtly than most. Never forget, never again. Also, free Palestine.Normal Recurrency Markers:- Below #30: >= 5 weeks or a Top 10 peak if younger- Below #20: >= 7 weeks or a Top 5 peak if younger- Below #15: >= 10 weeks AND a Top 10 peak, or >= 7 weeks with #1 peak- Below #10: >= 10 weeks AND Top 5 peak- Permanent Recurrence (below #5):* >= 15 weeks with Top 10 peak* >= 10 weeks with #1 peak* >= 20 weeks for anything elseDropouts:Bloodline by Alex Warren and Jelly RollWashing Machine Heart by MitskiLES Artistes by SantigoldSexOnTheBeat / MachineGirl by Adela [Double Feature]Getaway Car by Alex WarrenHomewrecked by AdelaDeathbyDevotion by AdelaMelatonin by TinashePartenope by Merk and Kremont ft Serena Brancale and The KolorsTemporary Recurrents:House Tour by Sabrina Carpenter (5 Under 30)KGB by Adela (Top 10 Peak)Bel Air by Katseye (5 Under 30)Fever Dream by Alex Warren (Top 5 Peak)The Top 5050 Starving Artist by Adela (Down 10, Peak 40, Weeks 2)  49 Mean by Macy Todd (Down 8, Peak 35, Weeks 4) 48 Kabisado by IV of Spades (Down 10, Peak 32, Weeks 3) 47 I've Never Met Her by Ally Salort (Down 10, Peak 32, Weeks 4) 46 Crazy For You by Cate (Down 10, Peak 31, Weeks 4) 45 Emerald Eyes by Alex Warren (Down 11, Peak 34, Weeks 2)44 These Days by Rudimental, Jess Glynne, Dan Caplen and Macklemore (New, Peak 44, Weeks 1)43 Haunt by Matilda Mann (New, Peak 43, Weeks 1) 42 Inventing by Matilda Mann (New, Peak 42, Weeks 1) 41 Lovely by Matilda Mann (New, Peak 41, Weeks 1) 40 Forever and a Day by Matilda Mann (New, Peak 40, Weeks 1) 39 Salt in the Wound by Neriah (New, Peak 39, Weeks 1) 38 Sawadika by LISA (Up 8, Peak 38, Weeks 2) 37 That's My Sh*t by Enai, Victor Garde and CERES (Up 5, Peak 37, Weeks 2)36 Gass by Nemzzz and Travis Scott (Up 12, Peak 36, Weeks 2)35 Great Expectation by Sienna Spiro (Steady, Peak 33, Weeks 4) 34 Fantasize by Adela (Down 8, Peak 26, Weeks 2)  33 Cry Wolf by Alex Warren (Down 10, Peak 23, Weeks 2)  32 Boys by Adela (Down 13, Peak 19, Weeks 2)31 Training Season by Dua Lipa (Down 11, Peak 20, Weeks 2) 30 Puppet Show by Elizabeth Mollie (Down 9, Peak 6, Weeks 6) 29 Ooh La La Baby by the Baby Dolls (Steady, Peak 23, Weeks 5) 28 drunk enough by Bea Miller (Down 11, Peak 17, Weeks 2) 27 Shakedown by Bob Seger (Steady, Peak 18, Weeks 6) 26 Una Velita by Bad Bunny (Re, Peak 26, Weeks 2)25 Hate That by Madds Buckley (Down 7, Peak 18, Weeks 3)24 Difference by Denzel Curry, Kenny Beats and Yebba (Down 10, Peak 8, Weeks 5) 23 Bass Persuades by Miley Cyrus (Up 21, Peak 23, Weeks 2) 22 Lawless by SB19 (Steady, Peak 10, Weeks 5) 21 WannaCry by Ninajirachi and Porter Robinson (Down 13, Peak 8, Weeks 8) 20 Makapiling Ka by 12th Street (Steady, Peak 5, Weeks 7) 19 Avalanche by Alex Amor (Up 5, Peak 19, Weeks 3) 18 Still by Karol G and Bruno Mars (Down 3, Peak 2, Weeks 6) 17 I Always Say I'm Leaving by Olivia o'Brien (Down 6, Peak 3, Weeks 7) 16 Atoma by Anyma (Up 9, Peak 16, Weeks 3) 15 "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton (Down 6, Peak 9, Weeks 4) 14 Ordinary by Alex Warren (Down 10, Peak 4, Weeks 5) 13 Save Your Tears by The Weeknd and Ariana Grande (Down 1, Peak 4, Weeks 8)12 Can't Hold Us by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis ft Ray Dalton (New, Peak 12, Weeks 1) 11 Tears Always Burn by Effe (Re, Peak 8, Weeks 5) 10 Sawakaze [Kimi ni Todoke S2 Opening Theme] by Tomofumi Tanizawa (Down 5, Peak 2, Weeks 6)9 Call You From The Car by Matilda Mann (New, Peak 9, Weeks 1) 8 Ain't in LA by Adela (Down 5, Peak 3, Weeks 4) 7 Hind's Hall by Macklemore (New, Peak 7, Weeks 1) 6 Bittersweet by Rachel Croft (Down 4, Peak 1x3, Weeks 6) 5 Serena Joy by Olivia Rodrigo (Up 1, Peak 2, Weeks 5) 4 Dance Till I Die by Natalie Jane (Up 3, Peak 7, Weeks 4) 3 L'ETAT by KMFDM (Down 2, Peak 1x1, Weeks 7)  2 Shadow by IRO and Macklemore (New, Peak 2, Weeks 1) And our returning #1...1 Magkaisa by Virna Lisa (Re, Peak 1x3, Weeks 3)   Next week: The GUTS 3rd anniversary nuke finally comes after being delayed multiple times. The fact that I support Palestine and Temper City actively refuse to is exactly why I'm embarrassed that I love this song and considered it for charting at some point. I still love it, but yyyyyeeah...On 26/09/2026 at 00:54, JSG said:Heya! It's nice to see great expectation do well and not plummet. Serena Joy might be cannibalized by Olivia's own other songs but we'll have to wait and see on that.On 26/09/2026 at 04:55, DaTilt said:Hi Oliver,Ain't In LA still my favourite song from your Top 10. Tears Always Burn is great too.Aint in LA might be my new favorite song of Adela if im being honest. It's kind of a fluke since songs like KGB and Fantasize are the best representation of her personality and aesthetic, but this song that's actively outside her comfort zone really only has minor issues that don't hinder a genuine masterpiece. That Effe song is actually one of Hennessy's recommendations, their taste is genuinely awesome, especially given Paraglider went to #1.Thanks for commenting everyone <3 Edited September 28Sep 28 by Violet Stallion
