Don't like them at all. Golden Skans is alright but the ones which are more "rave" I don't like, especially Magick - AWFUL

dont think i will buy the album this week even at £7.95. as it could be re-issued again next year with bonus stuff.

I think there's more chance of a 'Klaxons Remixed' album. Each single has already been remixed at least half a dozen times by top, if underground, names.

 

Also, cos they're on Polydor I think we'll see re-releases of Gravity's Rainbow and Atlantis to Interzone rather than new singles that are not on the album (which would then be added in a 'special edition'.

Sneaky Polydor trick innit? Loads of folk have been buying their vinyl-only early stuff and getting used to spinning da Klaxons, so they'll carry on buying in that format.

 

Plus double vinyl is not only beautiful, but the tracks will be laid out with large grooves and optimum sound quality...

 

...in fact, I'm rather tempted.

I have been listening to 'Myths Of The Near Future,' a lot during the past few days and I can honestly say that I am not bored of it yet, I personally think Klaxons have a big career ahead of them if they manage to keep up the quality of this debut album. :D

I have to say, I can't stand 'Isle Of Her'. I tried it again earlier today but I couldn't stand to listen to it all the way through and skipped to the next. :(

 

The only other track I'm not so keen on is 'As Above, So Below', but I love the rest of it. :wub:

It's brilliant, I'm listening to it now, not really keen on Isle Of Her and As Above So Below, the rest of the album is superb, their version of the Grace hit, is quite good actually

I can actually listen to the whole of the album through without wanting to skip any tracks which is a bit of an accomplishment for me. :D It's currently just struck me how good 'Forgotten Words,' is. :)

'It's Not Over Yet,' which is the Grace cover is definitley one of the highlights of the album to me, I definitley think it would be a big chart hit if released and I hope it is too. :D

This album could be a surprise hit of 2007, lingering in the top 10 for a while.

I hope that future singles manage to keep the album selling well, however personally I think they could possibly do well to start with and then gradually fall more or less and not really make it back into the top 10, in other words an Arctic Monkeys sucess-wise album. :lol:

Unfortunatley they were robbed of the #1 album by Norah Jones. <_< Hopefully the album will be a future #1, usually I would have said perhaps it could climb this week but there's not a chance of that with the amount of albums released this week.

I'm not too bothered about Norah Jones beating them to #1, let her have it. She was expected much higher first week sales and she only just scraped past them, so she was the one who underachieved out of the two really. :D

True, but I wasn't actually expecting her to make the top 3 in the first place seeing as I thought hardly anybody cared about her anymore. :lol:

Chances are that her next album will struggle for the #1 spot seeing as this one only just made it, however maybe her record company will put more promotion in next time in hope of the #1. :lol: Maybe she will just change her sound after she sees this album only selling 60k. :unsure:

dont know about sound quality as i havent got a player. but i like getting vinyl singles for collecting. just seem better than cds. wont be spending £19 on something i cant play however. even though it might be a better package

Bought the album on Monday and really loving it so far.... no major gripes, even the Grace cover is not bad.... possibly the only downside is the really ugly artwork (designed by 2 of the band).... I reckon they should stick to making great music.....
