My gripe for to-day - makes a change but I haven't got one. :yahoo: Lovely afternoon - went out onto the moors - you know for all our moans, England is a very beautiful country.

 

 

Nothing can beat it at this time of year. My bro has not long emigrated to Oz & is always on about how wonderful it is.....but when I walk through the woodlands behind my house & see the sun filtered through the trees - the squirrels & rabbits. Bluebells and such - I really wouldn't want to leave. My only rant today....its criminal to have had to work on a day like this :(

 

I've not long been back from a 5 week break in Oz, and quite honestly I'm glad I'm back. I really missed the countryside, even missed the towns and cities. :lol: Flying up here from Heathrow it was a pleasure to see the green fields (and some yellow rape-seed ones). :lol:

There is an Optional Forum League. Every 'view' puts up a post count and there is rivalry to be the best and top of the list. Spam is used in abundance . Robbie is at the top with an umpty tumpt count and Anastacia second. Will is 3rd at the moment but moves up and down at various times. It seems to be that we get lots of visitors who help to boost our count because we don't bother to spam and still manage to remain quite high. It's all a bit of fun really - but is taken quite seriously by some :lol:

 

The results are posted every Monday in The Lounge as a sticky right at the top of the page.

You know it's all a bit sick-making this inability to voice our opinions on other artists without being shot down. After all it would be a very bland world if we all thought alike. If Will is fair game, then the other artists should be as well.

Nothing and to be fair, Elvis was just the catalyst for all this.

 

We'd had the chunter about members leaving D, the way some over there behave, you know, all the usual, things that have been said many times on D anyway, and it was mentioned how we weren't allowed to critisise other artists. I think that when Dot posted on here that she was going to start a topic about the Vernon show and that she'd probably get flak for it, it was seen by some on D as provocative probably. I don't think for an instant that that was Dot's intention but people read it here, posted that BJ was an open site, and hence the number of visitors. :D

Well yes, and it's been a lovely little forum, a refuge for when things get a little bit OTT over on D, how ironic that the first time we've ever strayed from the real reason why we're here, so many people have come to have a look at us. What a pity they haven't joined in before.

 

I don't think we've done anything wrong to be honest, this is a very friendly forum and we're allowed to voice our opinions

freely and openly on here without fear of recriminations, I hope we haven't upset anyone but I honestly can't see how we could have, we all know it's an open site, unlike the AG forum.

I agree. No one slagged Devoted off. In fact most said it was an excellent site but aired a few things they weren't too keen on.

Thats exactly what I thought & posted as much to say are people reading the same things as I am because it left me feeling extremley bewildered as to what all the fuss was about. I still am confused to be honest :huh: Devoted - far from being slated was on the whole being complimented on being informative and friendly. Just the odd gripe but you cant seriously expect every single person to be 100% happy with everything - its not natural. The main gripe was with one or two peeps who try and over censure the place, no one was actually mentioned so if anyone reading actually felt it was about them then I presume they must have had a good reason for thinking so B)

 

The posts I then read were far worse in tone than anything I had seen here, some of the name calling was really quite nasty and uncalled for. Maybe it is the written word, maybe some folks are ultra sensitive......I don't know.....I find it all a bit bizarre

Ah AG. Or cowards corner as I like to call it ^_^ Was slagged off in there when I first joined. Of course being a new member I couldn't read it. Little did they know that I had two very good friends and a relative who are members ;)

 

Anyway, I hope this doesn't go on for too much longer and not get dragged over here. Like you said this is a friendly forum and it would be nice to keep it that way
