Jilly here. Devoted is doing my head in. How can they spend all their lives constantly nitpicking and now the vultures have arrived in the George Michael thread?

 

Loved SCD- thought Will was great but have to own up to having only watched it once last night and not a million times today.

Yes it is lovely to be able to come here - sometimes I feel as if I'm in the middle of a battlefield when I'm over on D, which is a shame as generally it's a great site.

Grief it's hard work sometimes ain't it :( I've nearly bitten my bloody tongue through I've been biting it so damn hard :angry:

It's always the same people that do it though, are they all so damn perfect themselves or something? I suppose if Will mimed his performances on tv, they would have nothing to pick apart would they? I don't like every bloody little thing that Will does, if I don't like a particular performance I'll record over it and wait for the next one, I don't go on and on and on about it, it's great to come on here just to get away from the "moany bunch". :rolleyes:

Not my favourite performance from Will, but as always it was live, I'd never expect less from him. To have him compared unfavourably to a mimed performance by George, is really taking the Michael though I think :angry:

I haven't a clue what you are talking about! I presume it is George Michael on Parkinson. I didn't watch it - I only watch Parky when Will is on. I'm not bothered about GM either. I haven't even seen the thread let alone read it!

 

Just editing to say that I have read the last two pages of the SDF thread. I thought Will's performance was great but I did find the Top of the Pops performance a little stiff. Then I discovered that the band had had to go and there were stand ins.

 

Too much analysing I think.

It was me that made that comparison and I don't believe for a minute GM was miming, even if he was it was a fabulous performance cos he had me fooled.

 

It upsets me greatly that I feel the way I do right now and I am not one of those who criticises him constantly, I very, very rarely do.

 

I think Will (or rather BMG) made a mistake putting out two slow songs one after the other. I love to see Will just stand and sing - but they are not the sort of songs for people who want a bit more action! I think the fans are more bored than Will. Fans know what he is capable of, so it's frustrating when his TV performances don't reflect that. As for the GBP - they probably just see Will performing a lovely song in his own lovely way.

 

I hope there will be a fourth single, and I hope it's either KO or TAI - or possibly AIW.
