The ones who moan are the same ones who fall over themselves to get tickets to see him, even if he's opening a bloody envelope

I was quite shocked by a couple of people on that thread the other day. I know for a fact that they break their necks almost to be at any live gig he does, then they start having a pop

There's a simple solution, stay away and give someone elsa a chance of a place for a change.

Have to agree, Marguerite.

I've only been able to see Will perform live 3 times so far ..... Edinburgh Theatre Tour 2004, Glasgow SECC Arena Tour 2004, and Chatsworth Summer Concert 2005 .... never had seats closer than Row K ..... but have treasured my own memories of these wonderful concerts.

Perhaps less is more sometimes ......... the constant comparisons between performances really get me down. 'He sang that better at X' 'Didn't think that was as good as at Y'. :(

Row G at Glasgow for Keep On Tour in September, though ........ ecstatic about that!!!!!!!

Couldn't agree more. It seems to me familiarity breeds contempt. :( Unfortunately we aren't all lucky enough to see Will as often as we like especially at the intimate gigs.

Loved the POG performance but then again I couldn't fault the performance on SDF either. ;)

Oh God don't tell me there's another thread/site I can't enter without getting caught up with comparisons. Maybe it's just as well I'm going away.

Just re-read my reply - I didn't mean this site.

I think you are right about other people seeing him too often. I have counted it up and over the four years I have seen him eleven times. This is quite a lot but spread over the years it isn't so many.

I saw him at Party in the Park in Birmingham, W&G tour(2002) Palladium,(2003) Theatre tour (Oxford and Portsmouth), Eastleigh, Arena tour (Brighton and Wembley)(all 2004), Reigate and Kenwood,(2005) and then on Tuesday.

I probably won't go to a small gig again (too much like hard work with the travelling) but I have it all on DVD and will be able to watch it again and again. I am only going to two concerts this time (as before).

In "Madness" there is a line about "the same old faces"!

Chrysalis, it was people talking comparing, I think, not another thread. The thread on D about POG is brilliant - everybody loved it.

devoted has gone a really miserable place you get a good thread going which is really happy and  then negative posters come along and spoil it :( why dont they just piss off as they have "lost the Will feeling" and go somewhere else

so its not just the last few months Wills performances have taken a dive  its been happening for nearly 3 years  what the hell keeps them posting after all these years

I do think you are right Dot. Some of the posters have seen Will too many times. I've only seen Will 10 times over the 4 years. I don't watch all of his TV appearances anymore either. That way I really appreciate him when I do see him.

I've only got 2 arena concerts booked- Brighton and Wembley. i think that's plenty- once to enjoy the whole experience and dsecond time to take in all the detail. Jillx

There are two sayings which are so apt:

Familiarity breeds contempt

Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Think our William should definitely take his break and write some good toons for #4.

Apparently he's just said on the radio chart show that he's going to take 2yr break at the end of the year to pursue some acting & travel.

Will miss him madly but hopefully he will come back refreshed & with some stonking songs :cheer:

Looks like the sayings are about to be put to the test, :( though I'm not sure how his 2 year break fits in with promo abroad.

I know Will needs time to recharge his batteries but by am I gonna miss him.

cant say I blame Will, maybe he has read devoted , he is totally pulled apart on there and the O/S has gone dead lately

I don't think he'll actually disappear for 2years, he said he was working on lot's of different things and colaborations, plus he's always in and out of the recording studios. I'm just looking forward to the tour in september, he'll probably go to India for a long holiday after that and I'm sure we'll have been told what his next plans are by then. :D

We have the tour and then maybe a DVD and then some acting roles..and all the news coming in from Abroad..it's a great year.

as for the next..well he does need long break.. he has a new man to pay attention to..new projects to work on..i hope he has the time of his life..and comes home full of excitiment again..he has a world to conquer..thats what they do isn't it?..Williams?
