Well they haven't got my ample backside in their minds that's for sure, have you seen the size of American loos? you'd have to be careful not to fall in they're that bloody wide some of them.

I remember the earlier days of devoted, when we'd be collectively listening in or watching some pop concert multi artist type event and everyone got a good slagging off for their singing, miming, and general awfulness. Until Will came on, then we all went ballistic about how wonderful he was, and so much better than all the others. I loved those threads - absolutely hilarious :D :yahoo: It was only a bit of fun really. I think we'd be shot down in flames these days for being negative about other artists now :(

 

It seems cool now to rave on and on about other artists in OM - which is fine - but I do think people who have a different opinion should be allowed to give it. When Will returns, I have no doubt there will be a huge diversity of opinions :o ;) :D

 

 

It was a lot more 'fun' back then....it all seems a bit clinical to me now, have you noticed how loads of the regulars have faded away. I'm sure they still read, but the posting has tailed off. I'm sure its because they are sick of being 'taken to task' for daring to say out load what the vast majority of us are thinking anyway.

I'm waiting in for the plumber to come, (again :rolleyes: ) downstairs loo is like a ruddy paddling pool, that's the second time this year, plus the upstairs loo seat is in bits on the floor, what is it with the damn things? they never seem to stay on these days. :arrr:

Oh don't get me wrong - I love it too for the most part, I'm just a little saddened that a very few have somewhat spoilt the atmosphere for everyone else.

Actually can I just add that this is a marvelous forum to visit when your short of time as the gossip is condensed mainly into a couple of threads.......great when your sneaking on at work :rolleyes: :lol:

I think peeps will come back when theres something to talk about. I saw loads of peeps at the RE that I havent seen onsite for ages, most said that they couldnt be arsed to post when I spoke to them as it was just repeating the same old stuff.

I must admit I do miss the fun on Dev and the serious discussions there used to be (not the slanging matches by the way) but I don't post very often these days although I still read. There does seem to be a different atmosphere and I'm not really sure when it crept in or even what it is exactly although the high moral tone taken at times is definitely a factor for me personally. I for one was very grateful for KP's balanced and fair guide to posting stuff from other sites.

 

The other thing I find really irritating is the inferred "I know something" type posts. Either post it if you can share it or don't say anything at all if you can't - all that does is just make people feel left out of the loop - or maybe that's the intention!

 

I do think though that when he is ready to release the next album both Dev and the OS will pick up, we just need something to focus on and new music to discuss, not to mention new pics to drool over :wub:

There seem to be as many lurkers as there are visibles so we do know that they haven't left for good - just biding their time :D

 

I'd be lost without D too. If you can't get Will info on there you'll not get it anywhere. :cheer:

 

Hopefully now that KP has laid down some groundrules re posting pix and articles on will the secrecy should disappear a bit but not entirely. There will always be pm flying around ;)

Don't worry peeps Devoted maybe a little quieter but it's certainly a lot busier than most other solo male artist's sites, even those who are promoting. Some evenings there are over 50 online. Even if they are just lurking it's shows they are still interested. Many artists would kill for his level of support.
