The 25-year-old singer is determined to return to the charts with an edgy new sound and wants British electro pop duo Chris Lowe and Neil Tennant to help. A source said: “She heard the remixes they did for Madonna and was blown away. She hopes they can weave some of their magic on her tracks too.†Britney has vowed to concentrate on her pop comeback, after spending the past few months partying following her split from husband Kevin Federline. An insider at her record company said: “It’s virtually all done and it’s not weepy stuff but uplifting pop. She’s determined to be the No 1 female pop star again.†The Pet Shop Boys are known producing songs for established stars. January 31, 200718 yr Author :rofl: We quite disagree... but honestly, I can't see her being successful outside the US with an urban album... maybe if it was more RnB/hip-hop mixed with cool urban beats, that might be great, but I want her to stay pop first and foremost.

February 1, 200718 yr well it's not !!! here: Contrary to what we reported yesterday, it turns out that the Pet Shop Boys are in fact not working with Britney Spears. A comment on the Pet Shops Boys’ official website, under the heading ‘Setting the record straight’, denies any collaboration and simply reads that the story “isn’t true.†So the Pet Shop Boys, despite having worked with the likes of Robbie Williams and Madonna, are definitely not going to be collaborating with Britney Spears.
