Despair, I imagine! I think I'm going to be travelling to America. I really need a holiday with some friends and then I'll be into the music again. I want to set something up so I can work at home which will take a while.

I want to take it quite easy because it's been such a hectic year: it would be nice to laze around a little bit but I'll probably get bored

I know I'm going to sound selfish but I hope he becomes bored very quickly after his holiday.

Don't think we can realistically expect any new music till the latter end of next year but I'm hoping he finds other avenues to entertain us.

I suppose he deserves a fairly long holiday, the album came out in November 2005 and he spent the early part of 2006 promoting it, then later fitting in private gigs, doing concerts, an arena tour and then flying to South Africa for more concerts as well as filming for the BBC Save The Planet programme. After Christmas he went straight into rehearsals for The Vortex, phew! :dancing:

I know. I tend to forget how much work goes into recording/promoting/acting. I just want him back

I thought he was refering to his performance at the barfly

I did a song in a club with some friends and met a pianist and he asked whether I'd like to come along? And I said yes. It's good to start getting back into it again
...but Jazzsinger posted this on the O/S. :o :D

I wonder if this might refer to an impromptu performance Will did at a Manchester jazz club. He did a song at 'Matt and Phred's' a week or two ago

Thanks for finding this BYM&M's. I also presumed he was referring to the Barfly gig. Lovely to know he took the opportunity to sing in Manchester. Bet he was in his element.

He seems to love these impromptu performances in bars and clubs, I just wish I could be there when he does them.

Yes he does seem to love impromptu gigs etc. And part of his talent is that he can sing anything, anywhere, without the necessity of special effects etc that many singers need.

Found this: Sounds like Will's kind of place

Matt & Phreds:

This holdout of jazzy cool on Oldham Street is something of a surprise to find but once you’re in you’ll be glad you did. The only regular live jazz venue in the north, it’s a dark and beautiful space with a fantastic counter at which to base yourself and order from their wide selection of top-grade American bourbons, whiskies and ryes. The reddish glow inside, the smell of the drinks and cigarettes, and the smoky sounds from the small stage will soon have you imagining you’re in Chicago or New Orleans. Soak it up

Thanks for that Munchkin, it sounds right up Will's street.
Thanks Munchkin i can just imagine Will singing there

Can imagine me sitting there.

I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing to see Will sing in such an intimate setting.

AFTER THE VORTEX

Will finishes his run in The Vortex on 10th March.

He's then taking a short break abroad before returning to London when he will start writing material for his next album, which he's very excited about.
