Rolling Stone interviewed Anthony Kiedis. They asked him about making a double album, and he said "I don't plan to rush into doing it again."

He said he expects the next album to be "one concise, straight-to-the-point, old-fashioned Beatles kind of record - eleven songs that you can enjoy during your lunch break."

Hardy earth breaking news. I guess this means that SA won't have being the last album The Chili's make. :cheer: But I reckon the new album will be a while away yet.

sounds good indeed i know it will be a while but i hope it aint a double album again

I'm almost certain it won't.

The only reason it was a double album was because they had wrote so many songs and then didn't really know which ones to put on SA and which ones shouldn't go on SA. All the b-sides that come off the SA singles are songs that were considered for SA.

I SEE,but how long do you tihnk the new album will be,i would think summer 2008 at the earliest

Sometime from Summer 2008 would be the earliest it would be released IMO.

I have a feeling it will be released sometime in 2009 though.

unless we get a live album befor ethen

I don't think we will. There's more chance of a b-sides album or something like that coming out. :D ^_^

B SIDES AND rarities would be a good album to get also i would love that

I dunno whether i'd get it tbh. I guess it just depends how good it would be altogether although that sort of album would purely be for the fans only so I doubt they'd really promote it or anything as most of the fans will know about it through the offical site and forums etc.

i'm glad there will be a new album from them

Well there are a few songs that are filler songs, but well I suppose you can't expect 26 odd Californications on one album. :P

yes it woul dbe hard to come with that many classics

It sure would.

I do think they've tried too hard on SA though. I mean they hadn't released any new material in a long time before SA, so by doing a double album they thought they'd be giving something back to the fans, but a lot of people think that SA would have been better as one disc (which I think would have been better as well). :D ^_^

true, but songs like Readymade, make you feel better, death of a martian and hey could have all easily been left off
