The words to the p**** Cat Dolls' hit single took on a different meaning as the hot pants clad Ashley, Carmit, Jessica, Melody and Nicole (minus Kim who wasn't feeling well) took to the Hallam FM Arena stage in Sheffield last night. A just-as-scantily-dressed Rihanna opened the show, shaking her booty to tracks from her new album A Girl Like Me including Unfaithful, Pon Da Replay and SOS. It was a promising start to the evening as the Barbados-born RnB princess wowed the crowd – the majority pre-pubescent girls with mum in tow. Thousands of excitable fans filed into the arena, dressed as their favourite Doll in high heels, mini skirts and leggings - no outfit complete without a pair of fluffy, flashing bunny rabbit ears. The youngsters sang along and squealed to their hearts contents as the PCD's performed hits from their self-titled album including the catchy Don't Cha, the raunchy I Don't Need a Man and the hip swinging Beep. The Sheffield leg was the second to last day of the ladies UK tour. Emerging in outfits that consisted of cut-out swimsuits, leggings and high-heeled boots, the sextet (minus one) squirmed to the sound of last year's hit Buttons as fireworks went off all around them. But it was lead singer Nicole Scherzinger who stole the show. The raven-haired, former American Idol contestant, handles almost all the singing for the former-burlesque troupe. Her sweet acapella version of Nina Simone's Feeling Good was enough to silence the highly pitched crowd. The girl's got solo written all over her.
February 8, 200718 yr how many bloody times, do these people have to get it wrong.. nicole was on popstars and won with a band called edens crush.. they alos appeared on sabrina i think... erm kim is ill ALOT isnt she? id demand my money back if she wasn't at the concert -__
