February 12, 200718 yr Author Here's the performance :puke2: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x16u9x_grammy-performance She just over sings everything now...what the hell is that scream??? the 'scream' is in fact something james brown did when he sang the song, so i kind of think it was necessary when christina was doing a tribute to him!! :D shakira perform 'hips dont lie' AGAIN?!
February 12, 200718 yr Author Christina's perromance is 'US Magazine's' TOP STORY! Why Did Christina Fall to Her Knees? Answer: Because she's the godmother of soul! Indeed, Christina Aguilera had no problem giving her petite body over to the ghost of James Brown at the 49th annual Grammy Awards Sunday night at L.A's Staples Center. During a soulful performance of "It's A Man's Man's Man's World," Aguilera wowed the Grammy crowd as she nailed his signature mic drop, sent her voice up five octaves and strutted around the stage. The only thing missing was Brown's famous cape drop (it probably clashed with her outfit anyway). Either way, Aguilera earned a full standing ovation and thunderous applause. Call us crazy, but we think someone else might be bringing sexy back. http://usmagazine.com/files/XTINA_BLOG.jpg
February 12, 200718 yr She pulled it off, yeah she went a bit OTT but she had to and plus the US loves the OTT singing anyway.
February 12, 200718 yr Author She pulled it off, yeah she went a bit OTT but she had to and plus the US loves the OTT singing anyway. i appreciate most people on here won't love it, BUT it was loved by me, her fans and the US!! i agree with many other people on her fan boards, this will go down as THAT performance, it WAS the highlight of the grammy's, she clearly owned that title!! she's also in 'the sun' today for her dress!!

February 12, 200718 yr Author from post-gazette: It was a productive night at the Grammys for two former Pittsburghers. Christina Aguilera continued to make good on that Best New Artist seven years ago, winning Female Pop Vocal Performance for "Ain't No Other Man." In a tribute to James Brown, Aguilera, in dazzling white suit, offered a scorching (and screaming) version of "It's a Man's Man's World." On a down note, her "Back to Basics" lost to John Mayer for Pop Vocal Album. from movie.moldova: Christine Aguilera, who electrified the audience with her cover of It's a Man's, Man's, Man's World to honor the late James Brown, won for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for her Ain't No Other Man. from philly.com Christina Aguilera blew away the girly pop competition with her verging on hysterical "It's a Man's World." from news24.com  Dressed in a totally white suit and meticulously made-up, Aguilera sang It's a Man's Man's Man's World. She has an undeniably good set of pipes, but it seemed somewhat sacrilegious to honour the Soul great with a singer bereft of the stuff. from EW   Everyone knows Aguilera's got pipes — but probably not even her most devoted fans could've imagined her channeling James Brown with the magnetic fervor she displayed tonight. Crouched on the floor, clutching the mic stand, and belting full-throttle from beginning to end, Xtina didn't so much sing ''It's a Man's Man's Man's World'' as she did unleash it on her mesmerized audience. This is the 2007 Grammy performance to remember; the Godfather of Soul would be proud. from inquirer:   Unfortunately, few of the performers made the most of their time, with many of the production numbers rehashing hits of decades ago, as if the music industry's best prescription for a troubled future was to listlessly revive the past. Exceptions included a knockout performance by Christina Aguilera on James Brown's "It's a Man's Man's Man's World. from the official grammy website:   "The mighty Aguilera delivered a memorable, perhaps legendary, performance of James Brown's "It's A Man's World."" from canada the province: Closing out the segment was Christina Aguilera, who showed the audience that it ain't just Mary J. who can wail. Aguilera, looking amazing in a white pantsuit, sang the stuffing out of the late James Brown masterpiece "It's a Man's, Man's Man's World."
