Has anyone seen this film and if so, is it worth buying?

def dont buy it but rent it. there some funny bits esp when she sticks that tube down his throat and says something like

 

"are you a boy, or a man" and then something like "then suck it man"

 

you have to watch it to see why it funny. well made me chuckle anyway lol

well if fopp continues the buying strat of mz with its cheapo horror it will be in their stores for about £3 in about 4 months.

 

btw DVD World (the horror to hong kong action mag) had the original 2000 Maniacs by Herschell Gordon Lewis as a cover mount last month. havent seen it yet but i hear its supposed to be a straight remake rather than a sequel.

 

(note: this month DVD World are back to a softcore latex porno type thing on the cover)

Complete and utter c**p... The Herschell G Lewis original may have been cheap, nasty and grotty, but he had no money to actually make it any better than it was, this is just another typical film with a fairly big(ish) budget (well, the film-makers certainly had a LOT more dosh to play with and more toys at their disposal than Lewis ever did...) film trying to be low budget and just coming across as being really naff.... Herschell G Lewis, Russ Meyer, George Romero, Tobe Hooper and Co were the Low-Budget Kings of the 60s and 70s, if those guys had had access to Digital Video and PC/Mac Edit programmes back then God only knows what they could've accomplished, because unlike the hacks who made this piece of sh!t remake, Lewis, Romero and Meyer, etc were actually visionaries.....
