Who loves this song from the "Hot Fuss" era as much as I do???? Heard it for the first time today, and instantly fell in love with it. Same feeling as when I listen to "Change Your Mind", "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine" and "Believe Me Natalie"... I shiver, feel emptyness and a certain nostalgy/melancholy (sp?) and even some sadness.

The song, I believe, is a very early recording by the sound of it, but still very appreciated by myself, how are you all feeling about this song? Do you agree with me?

aww, i'm glad you like this song so much!! i love it also, it is one of my favourite non-album tracks.

i know what you mean when you say feeling a sense of nostalgia, i kind of feel the same sometimes also when i'm listening to Hot Fuss, but it also makes me smile... I don't know if it's because I relate the music to situations in my life at the time it was released or what, hmm...

Same here... it's a kind of sadness but I also feel warm for some reason, like if the music was protecting me in some way

And yes, I love it very much

it makes me think back to simpler times in my life, the 'good old days' as it were..

it's amazing how music can make you feel so much, isn't it?

anyway, back to Replaceable appreciation, lol- i like the lyrics to the chorus:

replaceable

it's cynical

call me useless; just you wait

put me down and call it fate

broken bridges, wasted hate

so just stand beside your man

the boy ain't wrong

act like i never turned you on

all i do is cry
