They were playing the opening chords of Patience at the beginning of Hell's Kitchen tonight.

Today i watched the BW Tour DVD. I envy you people for seing them live this year. BW tour was sooo good, i am now dieing to see with what are they coming (hoping it is not so heavy circus-thema).

Brong on the tour, i can hardly wait to see some videos on youtube!!! :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I need a little cheese fest - i am very stressed at the moment  .

I have no doubt the shows will be nothing short of amazing they never fail to deliver anything but brilliance in concerts

Which song is your fav from the gigs Peter? Mine have to be Never Forget from BW. AMAZING! The whole concept, the symbols they choosed (Chaplin, Lennon, etc). Very clever - i love every second from it. :cheer:

Now i am watching the band commentary. Very funny

I feel really guilty for people who haven't seen them as I ended up seeing them four times on the BW tour! I missed out on the UK tickets when they went on sale - but my niece spotted some on e-bay (from a trader she knew had an honest rating) so we went ahead and bought them - thinking we'd not see them at all otherwise. Then - when they went on sale for Belfast - I just made a rash decision and bought two tickets on Ticketmaster. I hesitated though - otherwise I could have ended up with brilliant stage-side seats. Just that half hour hesitation meant I had tickets near the back - however - as it was a smaller venue (just 10,000) they were pretty good - and when they came to the B stage - it was a great view. Then - thanks to the 'Trousers' site - I bought a ticket (face-value) off a fellow fan - and went to see them in Manchester - this time I was just about a foot-and-a-half from the B stage! About a week before the tour ended - they released some more tickets for the MEN - so I called my husband's bluff! I'd been nagging him for ages to go to a gig with me (the last one we went to together was Led Zeppelin in 1978!) So I tried Ticketmaster again and got tickets marked 'limited view' but they were only £25 so I thought 'what the heck'. However ... when we got there my husband felt sick as it was way up in the rafters and slightly behind the giant screens - so you were looking down on Take That who were dots in the distance. We went to Customer Services ... and when they saw how 'ashen faced' Allan was - they relocated us to the side of the stage - and it was brilliant. It was also one of the unusual concerts of the tour as they performed Mancunian Way (they only did it on the last and penultimate gigs of the tour). Plus - Bev Knight got up on the B stage with them and sang (Take That love Bev Knight!) All in all a brilliant concert.

My fave numbers from the Ultimate Tour were Could It Be Magic - the whole magic of that performance was brilliant - and I like the song sung the 'Manilow' way - can't stand the pumped up 'poppy' version Take That released as a single - that was pure $h!te - and possibly one of the reasons I didn't rate or like them the first time round. I loved Give Good Feeling with its merge into Sure. Iris - you should love the band commentary on this - especially Gary explaining how he dives behind the drums towards the end of GGF to give him a breather before they do Sure! I loved It Only Takes A Minute which followed on from a brilliant opener of Reach Out. Think my second favourite number was the voodoo re-working of Relight My Fire with the mix of Crazy in it. Loved the guest singer they had on that (Lloyd!).

But Iris - I agree with you - Never Forget was the show-stopper of the night! I love the way Take That really work together on ideas for their shows. The shows are where Jason and Howard really justify why they are there - as I'm sure Gary and Mark take a little bit of a backseat on this - to let the two 'big guys' do their stuff.

I didn't see them live on BW, as i was not a fan back in time  . Boooooo!

You are right Norma, on tours they use the strenght of every member. From BW i quite like everything - apart for I'd wait for life (I think it is a little boring at that point on the gig) and Wooden boat (which i actually absolutly love on CD).

I love a lot of parts from commentary: how Jason and Mark worked on the visuals, how Howard hates all his outfits, Gary's run for life in GGF , all other three laughing at Mark for his ideas for outfits , Gary' jokes about Mark and Jason  . It makes the show more personal, i hope they will put such an commentary also at The Circus DVD.

Of course they will! It really does grate on me how some (most) people say how boring Take That (and in particular Gary) are/is. When ... the humour of all four of them is just so dry! It is more ironic and witty than the in-yer-face slapstick of a certain other ex-member. I suppose people's taste in humour (like everything else in life) has been dummed down so much they don't appreciate genuine wit! Take That are the Jack Dee whilst 'the other member' is Jim Davidson!

Norma

They do have a great humour. Perhaps Jason shows the least, as he likes to be very deep in what he says. But i just adore the humour the other three show!

Not that i know who Jack Dee is  ...

I loved the bit where howard was in the car noting to the others the 'notes' he'd made about the show ... and Gary saying 'I was trying to remember my room number at that point'. The ice-baths were another high point! I truly hope they never, ever have a fifth person on stage with them ... these guys don't need it at all!

And on Jack Dee -

Jack Dee - appropriately enough - tattoos!

Universal hat thought a lot, and they are promoting now "The Circus" in Romania  . That means they offer The Circus - special for Romania. Well, beside the price, i didn't found out what is special, but is nice they try to expand the promotion area. For those of you laughing about that: a lot of good artists come to Romanai nowadays. Perhaps they don't sell as much as in UK or at least Irland; but it is nice to see that "global success" for someone means also countries outside West-Europe and USA  . Perhaps don't help with the sells, but wih the position on the famous scala. Which , we know, is the first step to big sells in West-Europe. (wishing very much, they will do a gig in Russia, that is , it seems, the ultimate place to proove your status as an artitst).
What does Weber mean about TakeThat? I don't understand really what he means

To be honest ... I'm never too certain what this arsehole is saying at the best of times. He always speaks as though he's talking with his bollocks in his mouth. I think it must be a side-effect of him having his face on inside out!

Seriously - he wasn't having a dig at Take That I think he was saying it was no point in drawing attention away from Jade who he goes on to say is something of a major star. I think he may be jumping the gun to be honest.

Back to the song - it really wasn't that good - it took itself way, way too seriously. Having said that ... I thought the Norwegian winners song was one of the crappiest songs I've ever heard - even by Eurovision standards (which have been awful, IMO, for the last 20 years or so).

Norma

webber is a tak ethat fan in general so he wouldnt say anything bad....i liked jades song she ha sa great voice and it would be nice if she records some tracks to build on the success of its my time but only time will tell as i think Gina G was the last person to have some hits beyond her eurovision song,,,,i didnt think norway deserved to win either but i can see why people would love it

I just can't stand Andrew Lloyd Webber. And I object to the amount of free publicity he gets from licence payer's money each time he has a new show to promote! Wa nker!

Norma

i dont know him much i havent seen an awful lot of him on tv but to be fair he gave it his all to help jade at eurovison and this year was a huge turn around for th euk after 7 years of floppping,,i hope ireland can turn things around next year as we havnt done well at all for for 9 years apart from getting 10th place once
