I've FINALLY worked out how to save videos from youtube

 

so if there are any darius videos from youtube that you want then post the links in this thread and i'll upload them for you as soon as i can :cheer:

I genuinely can't think of any because we've got the links for the known youtube ones in a thread here, all of D's music videos are on his official myspace and one of his websites has a good archive of fans' videos from live gigs and some TV appearances etc.

I remember asking you once if you could get me Pink's Dear Mr President Live one - I don't need it now though as I've just used the embed code on my myspace page.

 

As others have said, all of Darius's official videos are available to watch on dariusmusic.net and his myspace site anyway.

 

As for Darius on YouTube, with the exception of Colourblind and a Rushes clip, the official videos always seem to get removed off there. I understand that they've not been uploaded on to YouTube by the copyright holders and I know the rules about that, but I do wonder how come loads of other artists seem to have their official videos on there all the time, yet Darius's always seem to disappear :unsure:

I know I read somewhere that Universal were coming down hard on the unauthorised use of their videos. It was about the time that there was an explosion of online TV stations, about a year ago I think but I thought they'd eased up and thought the better of making a fuss.

 

It could, of course, be absolutely nothing to do with that. Do the the copyrights to the videos belong to 19 or the record companies?

 

It would be interesting to know if the same thing happens to the singles videos of Will, Gareth, Rachel Stevens, Amy Winehouse, Tyler James, etc. i.e. the rest of (Brilliant)19/ (Management')s artists.

Amy's not with Brilliant now is she - they told her to go to rehab and she said no! :lol:

~ She's still with Universal (Island) though and I've just checked all my download versions of Darius's videos and they're all copyright Mercury Records - so it might be worth looking into what seems to happen with Amy's and other Mercury & Universal artists' videos on YouTube yes.

 

Edit: So, first search done on:

 

Amy Winehouse - Rehab - Results 94 - of which, 8 were the full official video, uploaded by various subscribers, between 1 day and 5 months ago.

Lucie Silvas (Mercury) - Just had a look in her OF - all her videos appear to be on YouTube.

 

Haven't got time to search for anymore just now, but at the moment, it's not looking like there's a a general complete pull from YouTube policy by Universal or Mercury to me.
