Anyone watching this...?

Well actually what I should say is - Anyone witnessing the APPALLING attitudes of Stan Collymore and the "rapper" Megaman towards rape victims and women in general really....? Shocking, truly shocking.... Why no sense of Moralistic Tabloid outrage over these two nasty pieces of work....? <_< <_< Typical really though innit, a footballer and a ©rapper having these sorts of attitudes towards women... Who'd've thought eh.....? -_- Oh, and let's not forget that Stan Collymore is a girlfriend-beating SLIMEBAG of the lowest order.....

Never mind Jade and Co, I reckon these two c/unts should be publicly pilloried as well..... <_<

Still, Collymore and Megaman are really only products of a society that treats rape as an almost legal activity aren't they....? Only 1 in 20 cases ever result in a trial, the victims are bullied, harrassed and generally treated like dog-sh!t by Police and Courts... We dont take rape anything LIKE seriously enough (which, I suppose is the whole point of the experiment really, to expose this huge discrepancy), it seems like the law pursues people who dont pay their TV licenses or Council Tax with more vigour and stringency than bloody rapists....

Heres' a little story for you - a man grabs a 15 year old girl, drags her into an alleyway, rapes and sodomises her.. The CPS drops the case due to 'lack of evidence'. The name of the accused..? Ian Huntly.... Still think we shouldn't take rape a little more seriously folks.......?

Seen bits of this but it isn't really nice to watch eventhough its only fiction!!!

It aint meant to be 'nice' really... My general point is, why is there no tabloid outrage over the ignorant and hugely discriminatory utterances of these two fukkin' r*t**** Collymore and Megaman...? <_< A slight case of double standards methinks... The concept may be fictional, but what's coming out of the mouths of those two tw@ts is, depressingly, all too real.....

i saw a small bit b4 buzzcocks, cos it was that or oasis on the brits!!

and what a load of cack, the celebrities acting like their decision is vital and that they could release a 'real' rapist if they make the wrong decision...what a waste of our tv licence

what a waste of our tv licence

I think you should be more concerned about how they waste our TV licence giving huge payouts for the likes of Graham Norton or Johnathan Ross, neither of whom are frankly worth the money IMO....

"The Verdict" actually had a purpose - to expose the legal system, to make people see the flaws, to force people into recognising the appalling ways that rape victims are treated by the system (fiction or not, the way in which this actress was treated is pretty much the way a real victim would be, in effect a second, far more damaging 'psychological rape' occurs..) and to generate debate and discussion...

Waste of license money...? Nonsense....

As for the criticisms of using celebs, well, any one of these celebs could be called up for jury service, just like you or I... Okay, it's contrived to have a jury totally made up of celebs, but I would say it is far less of a contrived device than something like Big Brother as juries really could be made up of total opposites in terms of personality and views as it is completely random... I should know, I've served on a Jury....

Like Dave I saw a snippet between the Brits adverts.

Seems a good concept and clearly it was creating a lot of deep thought to many members of the celeb jury.

It did bring up some interesting points. It shows to me really that the system is not quite right. For example you have a black or white verdict. Guilty or not guilty where it would be helpful in such cases to have something in between.

Up in Scotland we do, the "Not Proven" verdict, which is basically saying "well, we think you might have done it, but the Prosecution case is weak..."

I find it pretty distasteful that they asked Sara Payne to take part, and just as distasteful that she agreed to do it! How does having her daughter murdered make her a celebrity? It's worrying.

Good point... But then, I suppose she would have an insight into how the Legal system does work and how it treats victims...

I guess so. And i was also thinking after i posted that, maybe she's aiming to raise her profile in order to raise awareness for her cause or something...I'd hope that's the reasoning behind it anyway and not just that she considers herself a celebrity.
