Although it is a good thing, it still bothers me why they didnt even

mention Robbie on 'E News Tonight' because on that show, everyone

who enters into rehab rates a mention! And they usually give sympathy

and wish them well, but no mention of poor Robbie tonight! -_-

I am pleased I managed to get my post up on the Sun comment page. Named and shamed the bast*rd press.

Typical of Kinsella to crawl out of the woodwork. I bet he was on the phone to them pretty quick.

I won't be watching the Brits, I just could not bring myself to watch it incase any jerk slags, or makes a inane remark about Robbie and even worse Robbie not winning.

I can see this being in our press all week. The only positive from it is that he is doing something positive and lets hope he can kick the habit or tone down the medication.

It must be terribly hard to live under the constant pressure he lives in and also, the pressure he puts on himself.

Robbie walk away, find personal happiness, we will be waiting for your return.

To call this a publicity stunt is absolutely sick but actually I'm not that surprised that its been mentioned. Its become very fashionable here in the US recently, to check yourself into rehab when your popularity is a bit on the slide. Celebrities over the past month or so have been checking themselves into rehab for every little thing to make themselves look better and win the public's sympathy. Apparently, and who knew, that you can check yourself into rehab for shooting your mouth off and making racist or homophobic statements. Seems that one doesn't need to suffer from an addiction or such to go into rehab.

I've been saying it over and over recently, that these celebs that check themselves into rehab for the silliest things are actually doing rehab a diservice because they're tarneshing its reputation for people who truly need it.

Yes it was shocking when I first heard the news this morning but I can't say I'm all that surprised, he hasn't been looking all too well lately. I've had a feeling for a while now that something's very off. The only positive in this is that he recognizes he has a problem, wants to get help and is taking the steps to getting it. He's been through worse, and as worrying it is, I'm sure he will be OK. He's a remarkably strong willed individual, he can do and get through anything he sets his mind to.

I just wish the press can leave him alone and not pour salt on the wound, but I'm sure this news has made their day and they're just sharpening their pencils for tomorrow and the next day and the next .... :arrr:

I was watching hoping they'll say something but as you said absolutely nothing on E! News and nothing on all the other entertainment shows here in the US. CNN had the official statement scrolling at the bottom of the screen. BBC World, from the part when I turned it over mentioned absolutely nothing, maybe they did so towards the beginning but I just caught about 10 minutes at the end.

And regarding US Yahoo, I was fuming when I read it this morning and saw that they quoted Lisa whatshername from the NOTW. Some other articles I read online today also quoted NOTW as if it were fact and the thing that pisses me off is people that read that will think it is fact :banghead:

I know, why cant they just leave him alone, he's going to end up

like Marlon Brando and buy his own island and just disappear!

The Irish news has really pissed me off, they went on about all the negetives and how his gig in Dublin was so bad he promised a free gig but this never happened. The only good thing was a clip of Radio from Dublin which they showed :P

People expect our celebs to be Gods or something, capable of doing

impossible things!! <_<

being a celebrity is seen as the ultimate lifestyle so ofcourse the media are so demanding and harsh when they stuff up cause its as dramatic as an angel falling from heaven or something :arrr:

It's still all over the news here :( Wish they would just all leave it alone but that won't happen

It said that he will be in there for at least 60 days. Lets hope he gets some peace and doesnt have

access to any of the c**p they are dishing out in the headlines :(

dont worry itll die down soon enough when another celeb does something to steal the spotlight. then rob can start his recovery

Yup, guess you are right Ossy

Will be someone else's turn to have their private lives spread all over the news before we know it.

Feels very wrong, everyone should have a right to their privacy, famous or not
