Formed in 1981 and at the height of the New Romantics they gave us songs like .............Talk Talk, Today, It’s my life and Life’s what you make it.

They never really hit the big time, which is a pity.

they were post new romantic really..... but one of the 80's best and most overlooked acts. indeed 'today','talk talk', its my life', 'lifes what you make it', were all superb tracks... some of the very best in 80's pop.
I'd like to nominate No Doubt's version of 'It's My Life' as one of the most pointless covers of all time. It was exactly the bloody same with Gwen's rubbish singingon top!
Their best album was The Spirit of Eden - might even have been their last. A beautiful record.

Talk Talk were/are a wonderful band... it's a shame people only really remember their earlier poppy stuff... their later releases were absolutely beautiful.

In fact, I reckon Spirit of Eden and Colour of Spring deserve to be in the top 10 albums of the decade.... everyone should have these 2 albums.

Also, Laughing Stock, their final release, which is possibly one of my favourite albums of all time.... Floyd-esque (when Floyd were great), it's an album of cinematic, sprawling epics - brilliant

Of course! I forgot Laughing Stock. Have you heard the Mark Hollis solo record? That was a good'un as well.

My fav track of their's is:

Talk Talk - I Believe in you

As I love Kate Bush's Aerial & Joanna Newsoms' Ys I reckon I'd really like Talk Talk's last two albums....
