I thought I would dedicate an entire thread to discuss the Grammy winning album. :) Any thoughts shared are great. :)

I've given it 5/5. I think it is overall, a really good album. :D My fave song is IITR and worst is IICBWYA. Not keen on that at all. :(

I also give it a 5/5..there are so many reasons why. :) My favorite track is Less Than A Pearl and my least favorite is A Moment Lost..second would be IICBWYA..I've never taken to either one of those tracks..oh, hold up..I should have voted for The River Sings as my least favorite track..ah, those three are all in the bottom percentile for me, so I'll just say that. :P

There are actually a few tracks on there that when listening to all Enya songs at once I'll skip... IICBWYA, A Moment Lost and Amid the Falling Snow.

I usually skip those, too..I think Amid the Falling Snow fits better on the SOTS EP than it does on Amarantine.

I chose 4/5, Amarntine, and A Moment Lost. Never have really loved A Moment Lost for some reason. I picked 4/5 because although I love Amarantine, I think I like SM and WM and ADWR a little better. So on the Enya scale, it's 4/5 for me. But on the music scale (heehe, no pun intended) I'd give it a 5/5. I like any Enya song much better than anybody who was nominated for a Grammy. She should have won Album of the Year. -_- :lol:

Oh yeah..album of the year would have been fitting. :)

Dixie Chicks were ALWAYS gonna win that though. :( Saying that, I love them too so I'll not complain. :lol:

I hate to say it, but I think that Dixie Chicks song/album is overrated. :ducks: :lol:

Actually, the album "Taking the Long Way" isn't that good. There are loads of songs I'd more than often skip if I was listening to all my songs on random. However "The Long Way Around" and "Not Ready To Make Nice" are musical masterpieces. :wub:

Eh..I liked the Dixie Chicks' older material better. :)

I've never listened to any of their albums. I'll have to check them out. B)

I love Someone Said Goodbye..I think it's underrated.

I like it, though it's not my favorite. I think Long Long Journey is underrated. :wub: I wish it was longer.

Interesting thread here, and I gave it a 4/5, as I feel there are a couple of songs on here that preclude me from giving a 5/5, namely, Someone Said Goodbye, which is my least favourite, WSTHH, which, for some reason, just doesn't get my attention like some other songs, and IICBWYA, which is just a bit too melancholic to suit me. But, on the other hand, I really enjoy the title track, The River Sings, and Long, Long Journey the best from this album. :rolleyes:

Long Long Journey is one of my favorites on Amarantine. :wub: But I wish it was longer, and had another verse. And It's In The Rain feels like it needs anther chorus too . It's just a little too short for me, for some reason. Maybe because I like it so much. :lol:

Mmm..it's interesting how opinions differ. :) Nice to see you here, Big. :) I also love Long, Long Journey. :) The songs on here that I can't really get into are AML, IICBWYA, ATFS, and TRS..I might have mentioned that in here once, I don't remember now. :lol:
