The troubled singer who has become a regular on the party scene since splitting from K-Fed asked for a limited edition bag by ultra-cool American designer label Heatherette, which she promised to carry to her front-row seat at their show during New York Fashion Week. However, her offer was flatly rejected by the bag’s designer, model Lydia Hurst, on account of Brit’s trashy image. “I’m only giving the bags to accomplished young women who are giving something positive to affect the world around them. They are women I look up to and respect like Gwyneth Paltrow, Anne Hathaway and Sarah Jessica Parker. They share the same high standards, and give back to the community in which they live in.†Hurst told the New York Daily News. Even though Britney was in New York for the show, she didn’t show up at all in the end…although she was probably too busy partying to care!
