IRISH rockers Snow Patrol had a good reason for not attending the Grammy Awards in LA as they were in Grouse Lodge recording the theme song for the Spiderman 3 movie.

 

Just when you think it can't get any better for the award-winning band they land a huge deal which will catapult them into the upper echelon of rock society.

 

The band are now back in the famous Co Westmeath recording studio, which has been home to Michael Jackson of late, putting the finishing touches to the track which has the working title of 'Signal Fire'.

 

Speaking from Vienna, band manager Jazz Summers exclusively revealed to 'People' yesterday: "It's really fantastic. The band were asked to submit a song by the head of music for Sony Pictures and as they are big Spiderman fans they jumped at the chance to do it.

 

"They wrote the song a few weeks ago and Sony really liked it, so the boys are recording it as we speak.

This is great news, can't wait to hear it :D
