March 21, 200718 yr If it was the best introduction to a song contest, Belarus would win hands down...it sounds like such a quality song and then descends into a Dila Bilan type average/quite good song
March 21, 200718 yr First time I've done this as I have heard them all now...will doubtless change as some songs will grow and others will get boring: 1 United Kingdom: Scooch - Flying The Flag 2 Russia: Serebo - Song Number One 3 Sweden: Ark - The Worrying Kind 4 Malta: Olivia Lewis - VertigoSwitzerland: 5 DJ Bobo - Vampires Are Alive 6 Belarus: Dmitri Koldun - Work Your Magic 7 Ireland: Dervish - They Can't Stop The Spring 8 Moldova: Natalia Barbu - Fight 9 Andorra: Anonymous - Save The World 10 Cyprus: Evridiki - Comme ci, comme ça 11 Finland: Hannah Pakarinen - Leave Me Alone 12 France: Les Fatals Picards - L’amour à La Française 13 Netherlands: Edsilia Rombley - Nooit Meer Zonder Jou 14 Georgia: Sopho Khalvashi - My Story 15 Estonia: Gerli Padar - Partners In Crime 16 Greece: Sarbel - Yassou Maria 17 FYR Macedonia: Karolina - Mojot Svet 18 Bulgaria: Elitsa Todorova & Stoyan Yankulov - Voda 19 Israel: Teapacks - Push The Button 20 Germany: Roger Cicero - Frauen regier'n die Welt 21 Lithuania: 4Fun - Love Or Leave 22 Serbia: Marija Serifovic - Molitva 23 Spain: Nash - I Love You Mi Vida 24 Latvia: Bonaparti.lv - Questa Notte 25 Turkey: Kenan Dogulu - Shake It Up Sekerim 26 Norway: Guri Schanke - Ven a Bailar Conmigo 27 Romania: Locomondo - Liubi, Liubi, I Love You 28 Bosnia-Herzegovina: Marija Sestic - Rijeka Bez Imena 29 Ukraine: Verka Seduchka - Danzing 30 Denmark: DQ - Drama Queen 31 Hungary: Magdi Rúzsa - Unsubstantial Blues 32 Poland: The Jet Set - Time to Party 33 Belgium: KMGs - Love Power 34 Croatia: Dragonfly f/ Dado Topic - Vjerujem u ljubav 35 Iceland: EirÃkur Hauksson - Ég les à lófa þÃnum 36 Czech Republic: Kabat - Mala Dama 37 Portugal: Sabrina - Danca Comigo 38 Austria: Eric Papilaya - Get A Life, Get Alive 39 Armenia: Hayko - Anytime You Need 40 Slovenia: Alenka Gotar - Cvet z Juga 41 Albania: Aida & Frederik Ndoci - Balada E Gurit 42 Montenegro: Stevan Faddy - Hajde Kroci I will probably vote for Russia, Sweden or Malta (if they nake the final) depending on who gives the best performance
March 21, 200718 yr I'm thinking that the combination of a great song, political voting in their favour and the fact that they have come 2nd or 3rd many times in the last decade could suggest a win for Russia this year... It seems to be a new country winning every year this decade (i.e. one that hasn't won before) and they or Belarus would seem like the most likely contenders so I might put a quid on both of these :-) Edit: I just did put a quid on them both at 12/1 each! Before the odds shorten too much Edited March 21, 200718 yr by gooddelta
March 21, 200718 yr damn Montenegro and albania are on the bottom on almost every fan ranking i've seen
March 21, 200718 yr Author Agreed, Albania and Montenegro have entered two of the worst songs. :( I agree quite a bit with your list Rich. :D

March 21, 200718 yr Today I finally listened all 42 songs and to be honest I wasn't too impressed. My points now would go something like this (and certainly will change drastically later on): 12 POINTS: Finland 10: Spain 8. Switzerland 7. Iceland 6. Belarus 5. Sweden 4. Andorra 3. France 2. Cyprus 1. Czech republic Bubbling under: Greece, Denmark.
March 22, 200718 yr I wasn't at all impressed with the 2006 songs but they soon grew on me...My best years though this decade are still 2001 (so many classics...so many that should have won) and 2004 (huge amount of high quality song)
March 22, 200718 yr I think it will be interesting to see how Finland perform...obviouisly they won't win again but for the second year in a row they have a good song which is unlike them...If they get enough 'your the host so we'll give you points' votes then they could scrape the top 10 in the final (though more likely finish 20-24 as the semi-finalists will mostly clog up the top 10)
March 22, 200718 yr Love these  1. Moldova 2. Slovenia 3. Netherlands 4. Denmark Like these a lot :D 5. Serbia 6. Switzerland 7. Andorra 8. Spain Like these pretty much :) 9. Bulgária 10. Belarus 11. Georgia 12. Cyprus 13. France 14. FYR Macedonia Like these ^_^ 15. Croatia 16. Finland 17. UK 18. Turkey 19. Lithuania Like these a bit ;) 20. Ukraine 21. Bosnia-Herzegovina 22. Greece 23. Hungary 24. Iceland 25. Estonia 26. Germany 27. Portugal 28. Belgium Not sure yet if I like these or not  29. Ireland 30. Russia 31. Malta Don't like these that much <_< 32. Romania 33. Israel 34. Noruega 35. Armenia Don't like at all  36. Poland 37. Sweden 38. Austria 39. Latvia 40. Czech Republic 41. Albania 42. Montenegro
March 22, 200718 yr I can't say that I've liked the Irish entry since Eimar Quinn in 1996 but this song by Dervish is excellent...surely another top 10 finish for the Irish...the only thing that could let them down is the fact that they have already qualified and the semi-finalists usually fill up the top 10 now... This song wouldn't have been out of place on The Corrs 'Home' album
March 22, 200718 yr Like these a lot :D 5. Serbia Don't like at all  42. Montenegro I'm happy you rate Serbia that high. :cheer: But Montenegro...
March 22, 200718 yr I'm happy you rate Serbia that high. :cheer: But Montenegro... Clearly the split didn't do much good for Montenegro  Out of interest were the guys who did Lane Moje in 2004 from Serbia or Montenegro?
March 22, 200718 yr I wasn't at all impressed with the 2006 songs but they soon grew on me...My best years though this decade are still 2001 (so many classics...so many that should have won) and 2004 (huge amount of high quality song) Last year I found all my favourites pretty much after the first time I listened to all the songs. Finland was my favourite right from the beginning followed by Romania, Sweden, Belgium, Russia, Germany, and Greece. The list then stayed that way until the competition (the songs switching places among them thou). This year after the first listening I felt the competition is full of tracks from barely mediocre to c**p. Well, maybe the songs are growers this year. I think Finland will have a really good chance doing well also this year. A lot will depend on the stage show, if it is good Finland could easily make it into top ten.
March 22, 200718 yr Clearly the split didn't do much good for Montenegro  Out of interest were the guys who did Lane Moje in 2004 from Serbia or Montenegro? Zeljko Joksimovic is doing fine he's HUGE star on the balkans!!! he just had a concert here in Skopje last weekend with Elena Risteska as a special guest star ^_^ he also composed Lejla (B&H last year)!!! he might be doing something for ESC in the folowing years , he stated :) Edited March 22, 200718 yr by Boyan

March 22, 200718 yr Author Will Serbia and Montenegro exchange 12s this year or will they give nothing to each other? They could be uproar if one votes for the other but it isn't reciprocal. :o
