The worst is, in Cowell's book there was a chapter/section called "We're Better Than Fame Academy". I pissed myself.

The thirteen celebrities participating in this year's Celebrity Fame Academy have been revealed.

Frontrunners in the competition - held in aid of Comic Relief - include Heartbeat actress Tricia Penrose and Barry from EastEnders, aka Shaun Williamson.

Radio 1's Colin Murray hopes to follow in the footsteps of the last winner, DJ colleague Edith Bowman, while comedic performances are expected from the likes of Tim Vine, Rowland Rivron, Linda Robson, Mel Giedroyc and Miranda Hart.

Flying the Scottish flag is broadcaster Fred MacAulay and the younger audiences are represented by CBBC hosts Angellica Bell and Zoe Salmon. Completing the lineup is BBC Sports presenter Ray Stubbs and oddball candidate Tara Palmer-Tomkinson.

Patrick Kielty returns to host proceedings - this time joined by Claudia Winkleman - while returning judges include "headmaster" Richard Park, Craig Revel Horwood and Lesley Garrett. Guiding the contestants through the process are vocal coaches David and Carrie Grant, fitness coach Kevin Adams and personal tutor Jeremy Milnes.

The launch show airs this Saturday (March 3), with nightly performances and eliminations following from Wednesday, March 7 leading up to the big finale on Red Nose Day, March 16.

I use to love Angellica Bell... it is a shame that she hasn't had the chance to move in to prime time tv... hopefully she can follow fearne cotton's footsteps

Tara

I knew I HAD to watch just to see her sing but I totally forgot to record it tonight.

Bless Tara though, she was sweating like a pig

I thought Mel & Tara were great entertainment.

I hope Shaun Williamson & Tricia Penrose don't win as they are ringers. They are just too professional for my liking.

From Last night's show Radio 1 DJ Colin Murray has got the right idea about the show and that is to be entertaining and have a laugh.

rowland rivron :puke2: :puke2: cant stand him good riddance!!!!

oh and that ray guy was awful too, but the sports types will be out in full force ala matt "im so up myself" dawson on strictly last year

How did Angelica and Zoe do ? :)

angelica saved by judges, students voted between miranda and rowland

She was brilliant wasn't she?? I remember her rolling around on the floor

Ade Edmondson was also pretty marvellous last year, I hope a 'singer' doesn't win it this time <_<

She was hilarious!!!!

shaun makes me wanna :puke: :puke: cant stand him, was watching bbc3 last night and someone said they reckon hes got a gameplan, which i agree with!!!

id rather colin, mel, tara or linda (i can wish!!) to win for me

BUMP!

Shaun annoys me, he puts the "Elvis-esque" into his voice, it's so fake. He's panto, he dosn't deserve to win. Tara or Zoe should! And woop for Angelica who improves day after day after day!

Sugababes & Girls Aloud to perform tonight. -_- ^_^

Wooooh im watching now!

Good so far are Angelica, Shaun and Tricia.

Fred was atrocious.

SO in anticipation of Walk This Way later on :)
