Which of these forthcoming movies are you most looking forward to?

is it Steven Soderbergh's The Good German??? Robert De Niro's The Good Shepherd??? or would you rather prefer the 'sweet romantic comedy' of Bobcat Goldthwait's Sleeping Dogs Lie???

which one would you choose?

The Good Shepherd cant wait to see it.

I'm waiting for someone to make a film called "The Good German Shepherd".....   Maybe they could clone Rin Tin Tin or summat....

In all seriousness though.... I saw "The Good Shepherd" yesterday and was extremely impressed with it.. This is NOT a film to see if you just want to be 'entertained', it is incredibly complex, it is incredibly dense and you seriously need to pay attention to what is going on... One or two minor editing gaffes aside, this is a meticulously crafted film (and this IS a 'Film' as opposed to a 'Movie'.....) in terms of its structure, mise on scene, cinematography, direction, etc, none of this 'MTV' c**p... De Niro has made a very very good film here, he should just quit acting altogether and direct full-time, I want to see him direct more films because he is an incredibly talented director, well, he should be really, he was in enough of Scorcese's and Coppola's films to learn how a good film should be structured and photographed... Matt Damon plays his role extremely well, thoroughly convincing as the dour, emotionally crippled CIA man who slowly starts to lose his soul by putting his country before family and friends... Angelina Jolie does well too, but her rather woefully underwritten character does not get anything like the attention Damon does, which is unfortunate as this is the one film where I would've liked to have seen more of Jolie, seeing as how she's choosing to actually act again.... Good performances too from a plethora of Oscar-winning/nominated actors - De Niro himself, William Hurt, Alec Baldwin, John Sessions, Michael Gambon.... This is a film where you can ascribe the term 'Heavyweight' when it comes to the acting stakes.... Great stuff...
