Delta at one with boyfriend on Caribbean break

AFTER stunning the crowds at the Commonwealth Games opening ceremony with her performance of Together We Are One, Delta Goodrem is taking a well-earned rest on the beaches of the Caribbean.

 

She is with Irish boyfriend and former Westlife singer Bryan McFadden, celebrating his birthday today.

 

And after missing out on the Australian summer, Delta is trying to get a bit of sun.

 

"The first day I was here I was out in the sun straight away and doing all the water sports and things like that," she says. "I told one guy that: 'I am Australian and I'm trying to get some sun' and he just said: 'You don't look Australian at all. You are white as white.' So I have to make the most of this beautiful weather."

 

Together We Are One debuted at number two on the Aria singles chart last week. The song was so popular, fans signed a petition for the record company to release it as a single.

 

For now the Aussie star is taking some time out to "gather her thoughts" and write some songs.

 

But hopefully for all her Adelaide fans, she will be hitting the stage before the end of the year.

 

"I can't wait to tour Australia again. There is nothing booked in but definitely by the end of the year I will do some shows in Australia."

Its alright for some, holidaying in the Caribbean!! :P Why can't she do some shows here tho :cry: *sulks* If like Rob posted the US album has been pulled then why can't she come here and try to rebuild her career here?

With the US thing pulled and her saying she's writing and "definitely by the end of the year doing will do some shows in Australia" it bodes well for a new album...
