Posted February 23, 200718 yr I've just checked the mediatraffic site and noticed that 'Patience' has the red triangle mark above its name which means it has more than 2 million points. But i am not sure what the meaning for point? http://www.mediatraffic.de/tracks.htm
February 23, 200718 yr No, the singles points on mediatraffic is not for actual sales. It is mainly airplay. For example, Leona Lewis's single sold over 700,000 in it's opening week in the UK alone yet on mediatraffic it only sold around 150,000, due to the airplay only being in the UK.
February 23, 200718 yr Author Really? Is this the same for the albums then? Becouse if you check the album section, you'll see the same rating system ... This red triangle confuses me  Besides, none of Robbie's recent singles got 2 mil points on this site although all of them had ( and still have) A LOT airplay all over the world ( way alot than Patience) Edited February 23, 200718 yr by locott

For example Sin Sin Sin by Robbie has nearly 2m points I think, yet only reached #22 in the UK and got barely any airplay. It makes little sence, but apperently the track was huge in South American. All very confusing which is why I only look at the albums.
February 25, 200718 yr Shine, will do better than patience personally, because TT made such an impact on their comeback that people love them now. again. :D
February 25, 200718 yr shine will not be as successful as patience in europe.. But i can see it going top 20 in most countries..
February 26, 200718 yr i wonder what album sales in total are for beautiful world Around 1.5 million. ^_^
February 26, 200718 yr Author Around 1.5 million Yeah, right, as if they stuck with this 1, 5 mil)) I heard this number a couples of months ago actually. The ACTUAL sales are close to 2 mil by now. They've sold a huge amount in Germany as well. They are platinum over there, by the way.
February 26, 200718 yr 1.5 is the uk,i mean worldwide Since when has it sold 1.5m in the UK??? It sold 1,144,521 in 2006 and 98k so far this year. So 1,242,521 in the UK to be exact. Yeah, right, as if they stuck with this 1, 5 mil)) I heard this number a couples of months ago actually. The ACTUAL sales are close to 2 mil by now. They've sold a huge amount in Germany as well. They are platinum over there, by the way. The album fell out of the World United top 40 a few weeks back but has re-entered this week with 60,000 sold. In it's time in the chart it had sold 1.5m, so that is why this is the most common figure on sites like Wikipedia etc. So probebly on around 1.7m at least now. That would be a fairer estimate. Sales in Germany are 200,000 which is the figure for platinum. However, the United world chart is NOT an official sales site and is just estimates, sales have often been both too high and too low at times. Sites like IFPI who go by official shipments from record companies are more reliable, but Beauitful World failed to make the top 50 of 2006 so it is hard to estimate an exact figure sadly. :(
