February 25, 200718 yr aah yeah forgot about Scholes lol, was trying to think of why this year so different to last year and could only think of Carrick Vidic's emergence has been nothing short of superb
February 25, 200718 yr Premiership-wise (which was what i was referring to) you HAVE been awful. In the same sense that other injury-hit clubs such as Chelsea have had awful seasons in comparison. Sure your key players like King, Lennon, etc. have had some bad luck but that doesn't change the fact that you've had some pretty disgraceful results. Plus Zokora is untested anyway so that's hardly a credible excuse. Last season though we were knocked out in FA Cup in round 3, went out in round 4 of Carling and weren't in UEFA so we only had the premiership to focus on, this season we have had a lot more to focus on and more games thus tired players, we still have a small squad compared with the Big 4, had we gone out of cups early this year we would be 5th in premiership now IMHO

Your away form is the ONLY thing holding you back tbf. And the away form deterioration is a weird thing and strikes teams at any time. Granted, i suppose you could link that to fatigued players but there seems some other underlying problems. Maybe new players untested at travelling to such raucous grounds? What I'm trying to say is for your squad you should be doing FAR better. You've easily got a bigger squad than Chelsea even if you don't have the strength and depth. And considering 2/3rds of Uniteds youngsters are on loan i'd say you have a bigger squad than us aswell.
February 25, 200718 yr Well i know just as much as the rest of you that are in here. http://www.guitarzone.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/tumbleweed.gif

We haven't really got the international strength in depth though, most of our substitutes are youngsters as opposed to established internationals who make the bench at the big 4 teams, Also when Malbranque was injured we had to play CM's like Davids and Tianio on the left and even a defender like Lee has had to have a left wing role, we have more strikers than we need but we lack depth in midfield which is where we have suffered most of our injuries but yeah our away form has been very disappointing, our home form is substantially better than last year though so some of it evens itself out but the away form has cost us a few places probably
February 25, 200718 yr The thing that annoise me is that lads think they know it all and the lass don't You didn't know your team was still in the FA Cup and who your team are playing in the next round, that is a cardinal sin for a football fan
