And that is why I say that our feelings on this are totally irrelevant, we have no right to feel 'devastated' because none of us even know her the way those children do, and we never ever will...

We DO have a right. Of course, we shall never know her the way her family and friends do. But fans have grown to love her, buy her records, see her on tv and attend her concerts.

For her to be suddenly taken away from their day to day lives is a shock.

I'm inclined to agree on the idea that 2 months ago none of us knew who Shilpa Shetty, but now as a group we've ruined the lives of 3 other women we don't know (although yes, they had a huge part in thier own destruction, but none of us minded helping them on the way!) to save the other woman none of us knew ...

Next month, none of us will know any of the millions of people dying in Africa and around the world, but lots will still donate money to Comic Relief ...

We don't always need to know people on a personal level to have feelings about them I don't think ...

Its just to clear things up, as originally it said that she might be.
She's made some decent pop tunes and worked hard for a global career. Having sold over 50 million records. You may not like her music, but many people do and those are the people who'd be devastated if she died.

You sometimes need to know when to leave your comments out.

You obviously totally misunderstood my intention with the post.... I am criticising the fact that people seem to think that how they feel is more important than the feelings of those who are a lot closer to the person concerned... By all means be upset, cry a bit even, but dont try and make out that you're somehow 'feeling it' more than the person's actual family and friends, because that's just stupid and entirely wrong on so many levels.... I got real pissed off with all these pathetic little 14 year olds who went around saying that they 'understood Kurt Cobain's pain'... Errrm.....How exactly...? How the fukk could you understand the pain of a person you have never even met.....? The music and lyrics might give you a slight idea of his psychological mindset, to give the listener something go on, but actual, real understanding on a personal, empathetic level...? Bullsh!t.....

I admit I have NO idea what she's going through, but I still care and support her :D

Oh and she has sold 76 million albums worldwide :kink:

"Sounds like a fake to me.

Why would anyone post such things on myspace?"

On myspace was where i heard Anna Nicole Smith was dead, by an unsigned artist posting the bulletin.

Yeah, but the reason of the complaint here it's because it wasn't true, so it's awful to say something like that when it's a lie.
