Posted February 26, 200718 yr I know that this should be the least of her worries right now, and right now I care more for her well being then her release schedule. But, I was just wondering...when do you think she will release the comeback album? They said that she was more then halfway done with it, and that it was planned for a release at the end of the year, but do you think that it will still be released at the same time? I think that within 6 to 8 months she should have most of this sorted out, but I am not her so I don't know when she will be ready for her comeback. To be honest I would rather her release an album in 3 years and for her to properly promote it and have her heart into it, rather then her release one this year and her not promote it and flop.... So what do you think? Edited February 26, 200718 yr by Tyler
February 26, 200718 yr It depends on how's her life right now, how will the rehab programme go on, and how long will it take for her to get healthy... all these we have no idea, so... I don't know! I can't wait to hear new material from her, so I think, if the album is not happening this year, at least Jive should release a demo or a song for the fans.
February 26, 200718 yr I would have said by the summer, but maybe by the end of the year or beginning of next year, perhaps.
February 26, 200718 yr I have no idea ... 3 weeks ago I'd have said we'll have an album by September, but I guess that proves how little any of us know about her state. We'll just have to wait and see, hopefully it'll all work out?
February 26, 200718 yr If she really wants the Press of her back... She'll scrap it, and do an album of Obscurist Jazz Funk instead.... Mind you, she'll probably get mobbed every time she goes to Paris's 'Left Bank' I suppose.... (that's Paris, as in 'the capital of France', not as in Paris 'the horrendous, leeching bad influence...' ) Mind you, given the way she was shrieking in that video of her smashing up the car, I reckon she'd make a good replacement for Arch Enemy's Angela Gossow.... Bit of Death Metal might do her good actually, exorcise all these Demons, release some pent-up aggression.....

And would you become a fan if she released death metal? ... I think I know the answer to that question
February 26, 200718 yr  In fairness, releasing a different style of music would do NOTHING to get the press off her back, they'd be on it even more wanting to know why, and accusing her of "causing controversy".
February 27, 200718 yr i reckon it will be in mid 2008 Edited February 27, 200718 yr by wingnut..johnny boi
February 27, 200718 yr Author  In fairness, releasing a different style of music would do NOTHING to get the press off her back, they'd be on it even more wanting to know why, and accusing her of "causing controversy". If she ate a cracker they would be all like, IS BRITNEY HAVING A MELTDOWN :o
February 27, 200718 yr If she ate a cracker they would be all like, IS BRITNEY HAVING A MELTDOWN I could actually see it! "Britney eats cracker: is she comfort eating? Years of trauma in the spotlight cause tragic star to binge eat in a battle to regain happyness!"
February 27, 200718 yr And would you become a fan if she released death metal? ... I think I know the answer to that question  If it was a geniunely GOOD album, and full of the sort of righteous anger, hatred and spite that we all KNOW that she really wants to articulate, and she gets a good set of musicians behind her (personally, I'd suggest Slayer's Kerry King on Lead/Rhythm guitar, Mikael Ackerfeldt from Opeth on Rhythm Guitar/Backing vocals, Fear Factory's Raymond Herrera on Drums and Tool's Justin Chancellor on bass...) then why the hell not???? With these guys on board, the phrase BLOODY GREAT MOLTEN SLABS OF METAAAAAAAALLLLLLLL!!!!! springs to mind.....
February 27, 200718 yr Even with amazing musicians though, no-one would ACTUALLY take her seriously. It's all well and good to say "well if the music was good...", but it's not realistic  Even if you're broadminded enough to accept it, millions aren't.

It's all well and good to say "well if the music was good...", but it's not realistic  Even if you're broadminded enough to accept it, millions aren't. Thing is though, in the sort of frame of mind that she is actually in at the moment, the fact that she really IS in an incredibly dark place... An album like this coming from her would actually be MORE 'real' and more convincing and would have much more conviction than listening to another pile of angsty bollocks from Fred fukkin' Durst or Johnathan Davis, NEITHER of whom have ever been in the sort of deep, dark depression that she is in.... Not even Trent Reznor could really 'out-angst' her right now...... She should be writing, seriously.... . It would be the best sort of therapy she could possibly have.... Van Gogh did all his best work when he went totally nuts after all.....
February 27, 200718 yr It would be the best sort of therapy she could possibly have.... I quite agree, writing could be some of the most useful things she could do write now, but I expect her album is one of the furthest things on her mind ... even if she did though, I doubt it would come out in the form of death metal  But, as a fan, I'm always open to change :P

Either that or some sort of extreme Grind-Core or Industrial..... Someone like Steve Albini, Pigface or Jim "Foetus" Thirwell could produce...... Fukk it, she should do it, it would scare the sh!t out of everyone, and probably no one would ever hassle her again....
February 27, 200718 yr That'd make for an interesting tour  I wonder what she'd look like all grunged-up ... photoshop anyone? Edited February 27, 200718 yr by Andrewy
February 27, 200718 yr That'd make for an interesting tour  I wonder what she'd look like all grunged-up ... photoshop anyone? Well, she's got the baldy head look that a lot of Extreme/Death Metallers sport, so that's a good start straight away really.... Maybe get a Kerry King-style Tribal tatoo on the back of her head, which would have the benefit of working for the Grind-Core/Industrial route as well....
February 27, 200718 yr Even with amazing musicians though, I'm glad to see you recognise those guys I mentioned as being great musicians....Kudos mate... Kerry King actually worked with The Beastie Boys on their first album.... The guitar work on "Fight For Your Right(To Party)" and "No Sleep Til Brooklyn" is done by him.... So, if Britney offered him enough dosh........
