Posted April 13, 200619 yr Anyone think its a tad unfair that the songs already qualified for the final are bound to be the ones coming in at the bottom of the table in the final as the 10 songs put through from the semi-final always do quite well in the final... TBH I was shocked when Greece and Malta finished in the top 2 last year as nearly the rest of the top 10 had qualified from the semis so a lot of people will have been hearing the songs for the second time, instantly giving them the advantage...
April 13, 200619 yr Actually I don't like the semi-final at all, because only 10 songs can qualify for the final out of so many, Malta always does well in this competition, plus its my home country. The Big 4 countries will never be in the semi-final, this is one rule I don't get, just because they pay so much towards the competition, I think from next year, there will be another country to become the Big 5, I think Malta have applied to form The Big 5 system, but its only what I heard, and just a rumour.
April 13, 200619 yr Malta have applied to become part of the big five? Good luck to them, but they'll never make it tbh I bet they don't pay half as much as the United Kingdom, Germany, France or Spain do. Yeah I hate the semi final too it's so pointless really, the relegation system should be bought back again imo. Whoever is in charge of the Eurovision is seriously trying to kill it with all this semi-final stuff and now the voting changes this year  Edited April 13, 200619 yr by David
April 13, 200619 yr Author If anyone should be part of the big '5' it should be Sweden... I agree with David-relegation should be bought back and the songs would hopefully improve...
April 13, 200619 yr the semifinal it's only good 4 the smaller eastern countrys who now participate every year instead of everey 2nd year due to bad results!!!!
