Great song but why did they not release her 2 duets in the UK which are equally as good.

 

The duets are one with Dutch star Marco Borsato and the other with German singer Reamonn.

I doubt she'll do a UK duet and releasing the European duets here also wouldn't have worked. I think the point behind them was to release a song with very popular artists in different countries in order to gain much needed exposure and do it fast! :D

I don't think that it would work if Lucie released like EITOY in the UK. People would think: 'now who's that Marco Borsato dude?!' :mellow:

You mean other than with Charlotte Church last night? It was really good, and showed how brilliantly Lucie sings. Most of the time Charlotte outclasses everyone, but Lucie totally held her own.

 

Unfortunately, I don't think that will be released unless Charlotte ever puts together an album of her duets. I've heard a few people express an interest in that, but no sign of anything official. It would be nice if some of the better ones were made available via iTunes.

 

Great as last night's performance was, I was disappointed there didn't seem to be any mention of the single or album.

If 'Don't Let Go' was gonna get a release, then I'd prefer it to be Lucie on her own to be honest!

Me too, unless they did it properly in the studio to do it properly, and get the balance on all the harmonies spot on. It is a song that works well with more than one voice, but equally, Lucie sounded great when she was singing on her own. If it was released with Charlotte, she'd get all the press, but at least it would get press.

She should do a duet with Take That seeing she's friends with Gary! Plus it's basically guaranteed a number 1!
