Last Week? Do you mean the song Last Year? :lol:

 

And The Same Side has been on Itunes since end of last year, just so it's available to people in the UK to listen to before the cd is out.

 

Also to be honest I think the idea of having it download only is because it's more sensible given the situation, I don't think they're hoping for a good chart position. I'm sure that's not the big concern here it's more about the album now. :D

I don't really care where the single charts anyway, its not like it means anything...and Lucie isn't a singles artist. I have a strong feeling the album will do well, its No5 on the Pre order chart on the HMV website at the moment :D

I don't think the album has any hope if there's not a hit single from it, the last one sold reasonably well because it had two big singles on it, and this one doesn't. :(

 

It's a shame, I think 'Sinking In' is far better than her last single too.

Well if everyone who bought 'Breathe In' (album) downloaded Sinking In of iTunes, she will have the biggest selling song so far this year :lol: maybe even more than Gnarls Barkley too if it catches on well

Exactly. The album's out in about ten days and from the 8th she's doing gigs in Spain! How much promo can she be expected to fit in before release?

We could do a big thing send emails to everyone we know, ask radio 1 to playlist it and radio 2, she could do that thing what amy winehouse did where she asked people to download Rehab off iTunes and that got to number 7

I agree, if enough people can download Sinking In it could do well and hopefully the album promo will make people aware. We can but hope!

I still think the album will do well though! cos of the hmv chart and when it charted to no 9 in the itunes chart in nov! so hopefully it'll still be ok!

I don't really like her new single much. The last album was ok, but could have been better. I think her new album will really struggle with the lack of promotion and weak choice of songs so far.
