Posted April 13, 200619 yr Source: Music Week Channel Four and mobile network 3 will exclusively air the new Keane video which has been directed by author Irvine Welsh. The video for Atlantic, the forthcoming single from the platinum-selling act, will air on Channel Four on April 21 for the first time, while 3 will simultaneously make it available to its four million UK customers. The video will then be available for download on iTunes on April 25. Described as a short film, it is the first time that the Trainspotting author has made a foray into directing. Keane vocalist Tom Chaplin says, “We met up with Irvine in the studio as Atlantic was coming together. We talked and felt he was the ideal person to put our song into pictures. He in turn felt that Atlantic could prove the perfect soundscape for his directorial debut. The result is a dark artistic statement that adds a new dimension to the song." Keane's second album Under The Iron Sea will be released on May 29.
