It looks like we've been really lucky. The three town around us have all had flooding. People in Webridge and Kingston have lost a lot as the water came into their homes. Kingston was on the news. I'm glad I went yesterdy and not today.
I should be finishing Half Blood Prince. I'm off to Waterstone's later with my daughters to pick up their copies of Deathly Hallows at midnight. I have held a copy in my hand but it is locked in the cupboard at work, not to be opened till tomorrow.
I'm off to bed. There is no way I'm going to collect a book at midnight and then read it overnight.

You should have been queueing.

I'm back now with two copies of Deathly Hallows, which the girls have been reading since we got on the bus. I'm going to bed and will leave them reading till they fall asleep.

well Maidenhead flooded, at least they had the sense to build the new flats on top of the parking this time, so if it floods its only the cark park that gets it! and they only completed the huge flood overfow colvolt off the Cookham bridge the other year, that obviously didnt work then! they just dont give the rivers enough room to swell, and concrete acts like giant ponds

I haven't had a chance to watch the news but I've been told roads are breaking up and all sorts.

Is everyone OK?

Just phoned my parents as the river close to where they live burst its banks. They are fine and since the council cleared the drains their basement hasn't floodedb again.
