I'm really proud of myself - I should be awake - and I am. I'm going through Argos, trying to find Xmas presents.

I must sort out the service sheet for the Childrens Christmas service this Sunday...then I am taking my mum for lunch

...poor doggies....they'll have to wait till I return for their walk.

Hope it isn't like yesterday...we went on the shore and were battered to peices...well I was :(

....Bill found a lady dog he was very keen to get to know

But was she keen to get to know him? It stayed dry again, so that was good. I'm just off for the papers.

I think she was a little young....she was very please to see him but kept sitting down

:o ....perhaps she did know what he was after.

Off to work

I wasted a day because I was stuck to this forum yesterday because I just couldn't get back on, no matter how often I tried.

Everything seemed OK and I wrote a reply but it wouldn't post. I got message after message saying the server was busy and to try again in a few moments. That went on for ages and then I just got board offline until the early morning when I gave up.

I'm so pleased we're back but I'll have to go out today to buy more Christmas cards and get them posted and I've still got most of the men's presents to get with not a clue what to buy them. I'll have to wander around the small shops to see if anything leaps out at me.

Hi BT.....that seemed very quick.

Hope you had a good time.

...and I should be in bed

Sorting something out for our meal tonight. If I can't find anything, going to the shops. Apart from that, I'm walking around the house in a pair of boots I don't know I'm getting for Xmas, so that by the time I DO know I'm getting them, they'll be worn in.

B) that's really clever....who thought of that one

...must check my potatoes

I should be making a floral table-centre display for my mother-in-law for this afternoon, and I haven't even been out to the garden to cut greenery for it yet!!!! *goes to get secateurs*
I need to go for the papers. I have to wait for Mum as she wants to supervise.

Me, I'm still buzzing all over the place, totally disorganised, but I don't worry. It always works out fine and no-one ever knows what a close call it's been.

I'd probably collapse with shock if I got to a week before Christmas and had nothing still to do!

I went with Dave to find him a pair of shoes in the sale. They had nearly all size 10 or under, so that was no good. I just happened past the ladies section and there were this pair of boots very like the ones I liked but wouldn't pay £220 for. These had a squarere toe. They were reduced to £95. Still far too much. Then I picked one up which had a parent leather cuff around the ankle in stead of the plain leather the others had/ They had been reduced to £36. Needless to say, they became and extra Xmas present. I was going to have money for my Darius fund.

I'm wearing them in, inside the house, as I'll probably be wearing them outside over Xmas. They are a little too big but, they'll settle down.

What I should be doing is relaxing and being on here. What I've actually been doing is being family emergency driver and general dogsbody.

Trouble is, if someone asks me to get something for them because I've got more time and they are very specific about what it must be, I feel obliged to scour all the branches of the shop until I get it. If it was something for me, I would give up or buy an alternative long before I was at screaming stage.

The things that sound a dawdle are often the worst - two days including 5 personal visits and four phone calls to the local branch and a further 2 trips to the city and I still didn't get M & S frozen croquettes, of all things. Of course they had wedges, rosti etc... every other conceivable potato thing.

I'm taking a break this afternoon but I've still got 2 "Santa" delivery visits left to do.
