Got to put out all the bins for myself and my neighbour - all 6 of them : 2 brown for garden refuse, 2 blue for recycling and 2 green for normal household refuse. Wheelie bins are certainly more convenient but trundling them out makes some noise.

I've just done that as well, Baytree. At least the foxes can't spread the rubbish all over the streets now.

Strangely enough, although there are foxes and I've seen them a few times in my street, that's never been a problem.

I think it's because they've got better pickings only ten minutes away. The main road has so many takeaways and fast food places with all that entails, it's unbelievable. I could buy a 'meal' every night in a different one for about three weeks and still be able to walk there and back in less than an hour.

We have squabbling fox families. They were a nightmare with the bins. The rabbit population has diminished since we got wheely bins.
They must make some racket. I'm only aware of them when I hear that funny little strangled barking sound. When I do see them, they don't seem at all nervous about people. They don't try to take cover, just go about their business.
We have to avoid them on the roads. They make my dog seem sensible and aware on roads. They are the noisiest of creatures around here. They make the parakeets sem quiet.
I don't know about parakeets but my friend had a cockatiel who used to start up and never let up as soon as it heard the Corrie theme tune. it was a battle of volumes.

The local ones moved their roost about 4 miles away, so we only get them from 9am until evening - apart from when they have fledglings. They are very vocal birds and we have had no apples or pears from out trees since the population exploded.

The squirrels make sure we don't get any nuts either. Every spring we have mini forests of oak and walnut where they've not found cached nuts

Cooking tea. I don't know whether to bother. My husband's away until late Sunday and my father-in-law has to have his main meal mid day. Maybe I'll just do scambled eggs.
And she pulls her tongue out at me as well. Remember what we were saying about all the little birds?

I should be trying to cram in all my work before I go to the movies tonight to see The Wicker Man.

How long has it been out? I didn't think it had been very long but I'm having to go across the city because the two local cinemas including a large Odeon complex, aren't showing it any more.

Another edit - time to get my brain into gear!

It was on in Edinburgh at the end of August/biginning of September. I didn't go and see it as it didn't appeal. I'm in the mood for things that'd make me laugh at the moment

I'm now going to get the newaspapers. I can't until my father-in-law is washed and ready as he wont move once he has them.

Much as I love being on here, I have to tear myself away as I've been invited out for dinner.
