Mac Davis was one of Elvis Presley’s most-important songwriters. He wrote several million-sellers for Elvis including the politically significant number one ‘In The Ghetto’, 'Don't Cry Daddy', as well as the song that restarted Elvis’ new renaissance, ‘A Little Less Conversation.’ Ken Sharp author of ‘Writing For The King’ spent a while talking with Mac Davis who revealed not only his inspiration for writing these incredible songs but also the delight he had in spending time with Elvis.
