He was hoping She's Madonna, a Pet Shop Boys collaboration, would be a winner but it limped in at No16.

Actually, I don't think he really gives a $h!t. <_<

Nope. I tend to agree. I think Robbie is at the stage now of making music he likes. If the 'public' go with him, great. If they don't, I don't think it will bother him too much. He can just sit on his sunlounger counting his £100 million. ^_^
I agree with you too, but I also think he doesn't care about Rudebox anymore. Like I've said in the past, he has a $h!t attention span. Rudebox was SO 6 months ago, LOL!!
I like the jacket too, and whats inside it.

Life a drag for Rob after rehab

13th March

The Sun Bizarre

http://images.thesun.co.uk/picture/0,,2007111476,00.jpg

SINCE leaving rehab ROBBIE WILLIAMS has kept up two habits — partying and smoking.

During a lunch with a group of pals in Hollywood he was even spotted putting TWO ciggies between his lips at once.

Everyone seemed to be in a good mood — and no wonder in Robbie’s case after his latest offering landed on my desk yesterday.

He nails a cover of THE CHARLATANS classic The Only One I Know on producer MARK RONSON’s cracking new album Version.

Other highlights include LILY ALLEN’s take on KAISER CHIEFS’ Oh My God and AMY WINEHOUSE doing ZUTONS track Valerie, plus Ronson’s cover of THE SMITHS’ classic Stop Me If You Think You’ve Heard This One Before, currently filling our airwaves.

It’s my favourite album of the year so far.

Will Robbie still be rockin’ in 30 years?

By Reader's letter

ARE rock and pop stars of today a bunch of lightweights?

It seems there is always someone going into rehab, Robbie Williams and Britney Spears to name two at the moment who cannot cope with the life they have chosen.

I have been to a Robbie Williams concert in Milton Keynes, not entirely by choice, and an excellent performance was given. I do wonder, though, if Mr Williams will still be performing in 30 years time.

I have also seen a band who first came on the scene back in 1962/63. The basis of their music was the blues. They are undoubtedly the best live band in the world and are still on the road. They are, of course, The Rolling Stones.

Eurovision hopeful Brian's advice for Robbie

Tuesday 13th March

http://www.whatsontv.co.uk/images/07313_160300_11843141.jpg

Troubled singer Brian Harvey has offered Robbie Williams some pearls of wisdom from his experience of battling with drugs.

"I'd like to talk to that geezer, I really would," he the Erovision contender told Star magazine. "Don't waste your money on rehab - they're just bleeding you. Come round my house and ****ing sit down and we'll have a chat."

He added that he recognises his own past behaviour in the star's recent troubles. "I've been there, I took an overdose of pills - twice. I know how it feels just before you take them. I hope Robbie doesn't do something like that, because all the signs are there. It would be a stupid waste. He needs to be made to see that he has got everything he could ever want and he should just enjoy it."

Brian has had a tough job changing his image from the bad boy of East 17 who said ecstasy was 'safe' and made you a 'better person'.

He is now hoping to become the UK's entrant for this year's Eurovision competition and prides himself on being 'the clean one'.

Shine's off Robbie Williams

March 14, 2007 12:00am

REFORMED British manband Take That is worried about the impact its second wave of success will have on former member Robbie Williams.

The catty British press has noted while Take That's Shine is its 10th British No. 1, Williams' She's Madonna has struggled to debut at No. 16, only his third solo single to miss the top 10.

Take That's Beautiful World album has sold a million copies in Britain, while Williams' Rudebox has floundered in the charts.

His former band members say the British backlash will be hurting Williams, who is fresh out of rehab to kick an addiction to anti-depressants.

"We didn't like it happening to us when it was the other way around. It's not very nice," Gary Barlow told Herald Sun music editor Cameron Adams yesterday of the bad press.

"We do care for Rob. This is exactly what he doesn't need right now. He's a media junkie, he reads everything. But he's very talented, he is ambitious and driven. He'll be back. He will."

Owen, one of Williams' closest friends, says the star is "happy and well" post-rehab.

"Sometimes I think if I was him I'd just leave it all alone, I couldn't be a@#*ed," Owen said.

"Sometimes I think he should just bugger off and live a happy life but he won't because he loves entertaining and he's good at it."

The band has kept the door open for a reunion with Williams.

"We'd love it," Owen said.

Take That was in Melbourne yesterday for a whirlwind promotional visit.

A tentative performance on Dancing with the Stars was scrapped because the show is waiting until later in the series to feature musical acts.

After shunning Take That's British No. 1 Patience for three months, local radio stations are embracing the single.

If record sales pick up, the band hopes to tour early next year.

Delta and Brian settle in

DELTA Goodrem has settled in London and doesn't look like moving back to Australia for some time.

Goodrem confirmed that she and boyfriend Brian McFadden have set up a new house, after having no permanent base for the past couple of years.

"I'm enjoying getting the house set up," she said.

The singer is recording songs with some top producers, including one that has worked with Kylie Minogue.

"I'm now back in London and continuing to write the new album," Goodrem said.

"No tracks have been confirmed yet and I'm loving being back in the studio creating music again."

Goodrem also confirmed that she was in hospital last month with suspected appendicitis

I hope Robbie doesn't do something like that, because all the signs are there.

Would love to know what signs those are

"Learner driver L"??? Wot's that?

We don't have them in the US. Its a plate or sign that's put on a car when someone's learning to drive.

Labour prepare to put Dave's life 'thru a lens'

By Henry Deedes

Published: 13 March 2007

After New Labour's disastrous attempt to brand David Cameron as a cuddly chameleon, there is news of further efforts to lampoon the Tory leader.

A Millbank mole informs Pandora that media strategists have been toying with a new video on Cameron using the Robbie Williams song, Life Thru a Lens.

The song, which contains lyrics such as: "You sound so funny with your voice all plummy/Now your cheques bounced better run to your mummy ... You're scared of the poor and needy/Is that why you're all inbreedy," will be used to further send up Cameron's toffee-nosed credentials.

"Although it's now a few years old, it contains lyrics which we thought were perfect for a p***-take film on Cameron," I'm told.

"At the moment it's just a question of editing the best bits and using it with the best clips.

"It may well be something that gets used in a few months' time."

A spokesperson for Williams declined to comment on the matter, though in the past some musicians have tended to get sniffy when their songs have been used for political purpose.

Robbie back in Take That?

http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007120094,00.html

ROBBIE WILLIAMS is back in TAKE THAT — it must be true because TONY BLAIR told me.

OK, maybe not. But Robbie has been named in the band on the Government’s official website.

The lads had to re-register their trademark with the UK Patent Office after their old one expired.

Their application was published last month and lists Robbie as an owner along with GARY BARLOW, HOWARD DONALD, JASON ORANGE and MARK OWEN.

It means Robbie still owns rights to the band’s brand and trademark despite not being involved in their successful reunion.

A Patent Office spokesman called the application “unusualâ€. In other top bands former members have been taken off the patent after leaving. A Take That insider told me Robbie is named because of a deal struck between the lads when they agreed to jointly own the name and brand.

A spokesman for Robbie insisted he is not earning any money from Take That at the moment.

But let’s hope it leaves the door open for Robbie to come Back For Good.

geez the sun are hopeful idiots...robbie would only have his name on the register list because then he is still entitled to royalties and such

Oh No! My last album has sold over 3 times as many copies as your last album. I must join your band immediately to save my career ....

WFT?????

Oh no you simply cannot talk about sales outside the UK Jup. :nono: It is forbidden, as long as an act sells big in the UK it means they are amazing and the best thing since sliced bread, but if they don't then they are finished, no matter how much they sell elsewhere.

Don't you just love the media's logic

Robbie Williams Teams Up With Xbox 360

Gamers can now download his videos...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In a partnership that reveals a lot about Microsoft's ambitions for the Xbox 360 to become the leading home entertainment hub, the company has announced that Robbie Williams has signed a deal with the console manufacturer.

As part of the exclusive tie-up, fans will be able to download Robbie Williams videos, including that for his new single 'She's Madonna', to their Xbox 360 via the Live service.

"I love playing Xbox at home and on the road, Tiger Woods PGA 2006 kept me company through the tour!" said Robbie Williams.

We wonder if they let Robbie play Xbox in rehab?

Will you pay for Robbie Williams videos?

Microsoft says you will.

The latest offerings on Xbox Live are three Robbie Williams music videos presented in high-def: ‘A Place To Crash’, ‘Lovelight’, and his latest single ‘She’s Madonna’. However, unlike other music videos previously broadcasted in the Artist of the Month category, these videos will cost you money.

The price is 280 Microsoft Points ($3.50) for high definition versions of the music videos, 230 points ($2.87) for standard definition music videos and 150 points ($1.87) for Robbie Williams themes.

That's a hefty price for music videos that you can probably download directly and legal from such sites as Myspace or Yahoo Music.
