What is it that strikes you about ADWR, David? For some reason, that one is nice for me, but it just doesn't strike me as others do. :)

I kinda have two groups for instrumentals: the ones like TMOT and Lothlorien and ADWR and SM, and then the ones like WM and Oriel Window and Miss Clare Remembers. The first group has synths and other instruments and lots of vocalization; the other mainly features the piano, with a little vocalization. So that's why I don't consider Shepherd Moons and Oriel Window to be competing for first place in my instrumentals list. :D I guess I'm splitting hairs though... :lol:

I am a huge fan of the synth sound. :wub:

Me too, at least, the way Enya uses them. Some people use them and they sound really fake or tacky, but she uses them brilliantly. :wub:

I don't think I would, though I've actually started liking other Enya songs that I didn't much care for before, like Hope Has A Place. I read on Unity that the vocal part was recorded in the Silent Valley in Ireland, and that gave it a whole new perspective for me. B)

I don't think I would change my list at this point. I'm still not a big fan of Hope Has A Place..it's nice and I'm surprised at the fact it was recorded outside..but it's still not a favorite.

That's interesting, that it was recorded outside. Was it acutally outside in the open air then?

I've seen pictures of the Silent Valley, and there are these huge, deep, circular stone buildings that look like they may be cisterns or something, I wonder if maybe it was recorded in those? They look like they would echo wonderfully, and HHAP is very echo-y. B)
