What forum did he put it in?

Oh and its stunning btw.

I was hoping for another Come As You Are but still sounds great

VOTE FOR HER FORUM PLEASE :cheer:

Thanks for that. I got an email from her the other day, but in a fit of organisation, I deleted it before I had a chance to follow any of the links or listen to the new song. It's sounding great.

Do you know what promotion she'll be doing?

i really hope this and the new album does well as she is very very unde rrated

So do I - she's a brilliant singer, and can never understand why she's so underrated.

Beverley is not underrated by the music critics but she never seems to get the commercial success she should. I think she suffers because she isn't a new artist and doesn't get the promotion she deserves.

To me, it seems like nowadays a lot of hype and money are poured into breaking someone new, reaping the profits from a successful album launch and then letting that artist sink or swim, hoping the impetus carries on to the second album while the profits from their album are used to break someone else.

As much as I LOVE her [or did in the "Affirmation" days..] and agree she should be bigger, she is doing herself NO favours releasing such a bland and MoR lead single. It isn't going to garner any attenion and tbh I can't see it setting a good presendent for the album that has a dull title and was recorded in a dull way.

Its as if there's no creative flow going on here :/

i suppose it what is expected to sell in tescos.

however even tho it might be bland MOR/AC Adult R&B type stuff, shouldnt she be put in the R&B area seeing as the words Soul and Motown (ref Tamla-Motown not Universal Motown) still appear in the forum title. Its kinda devalues her whole career to be listed next to Scooch and High School Musical. esp when Big Brovaz are still in the R&B area.

UPDATE

Check out the full version of 'No Mans Land' plus a look at the making of the video at www.beverley-knight.com or www.myspace.com/thebkmassive.

Bev mentions in the behind the scenes footage that the video will be up on her official site soon.

'No Mans Land' single

Digital release - 16th April

Physical - 30th April

'Music City Soul' album

Released - 7th May

Beautiful song, beautifully sung.
I like it, but I dont think she should release it as the lead single, only as an album track.
Hopefully 'Black Butta' will be released as the 2nd single.
She needs to release up-tempo songs if she wants any major success in the charts!
