March 23, 200718 yr i just seen this film and its  but in a good way!! i actually understood it ^_^ well i think i figured it out.....i don't know where to begin, anyone else seen it? is a fan of his work? remember Twin Peaks? i thought Mulholland Drive was a challenge but Inland Empire is even more confusing
March 23, 200718 yr Not got round to seeing "Inland Empire" yet..... But he is definitely one of my favourite film-makers of all time... "Mulholland Drive" is a total masterpiece, as is "Blue Velvet"... Have you seen "Lost Highway" or "Eraserhead"?
March 23, 200718 yr Not got round to seeing "Inland Empire" yet..... But he is definitely one of my favourite film-makers of all time... "Mulholland Drive" is a total masterpiece, as is "Blue Velvet"... Have you seen "Lost Highway" or "Eraserhead"? i've seen lost highway (when it was on tv a few years ago) loved it but thinking back i can't really remember it just certain scenes  thats the thing with david lynch...complicated plot non linear, i agree mulholland drive is just so mind blowing i was lucky to go see it in the cinema...it amazed me they way lynch leads you down a path then rips the path right under you :o go see it!! but be prepared to do some hard thinking and analysis, i was ready came prepared and tried to rememeber every little thing and link it somehow, it was so great though trying to figure it out seriously i know what was going on, the plot, what everything meant, what was happening it all came together for me at the end so if anyone has a question about it, i can answer it!! i wouldn't recommend this film to just anyone firstly its a marathon 3 hours, when i saw it 5 people walked out  you need to work your way up to this film so seeing mulholland drive is essential so you know what kind of film you're getting into
March 23, 200718 yr David Lynch actually began filming it with no script, he just shoot the scenes after writing it. He got the idea for the title when Laura Dern was telling him that her husband was from the Inland Empire (an area of east Los Angeles County) and he loved how the words Inland Empire sounded.
