March 5, 200718 yr Ooh, it won't let me vote cus I don't know any albums - which is probably a bit of a travesty really - and it doesn't let me vote for just an episode and a single :( The whole series cracks me up. Song for Europe is emblazoned on my mind forever, and didn't the Divine Comedy actually write the song about the horse, or have I made that up? Which is the slightly dodgy episode with all the Third Reich references, cus that one crease me too.
March 5, 200718 yr There's just too many classic episodes to just pick one.... Although, I always did love the "Kicking Bishop Brennan Up The Arse" episode, particularly for the title... A truly brilliant series, one of the half dozen greatest comedy series ever produced as far as I'm concerned... Dermot Morgan is sadly missed... :(
March 5, 200718 yr My all time favourite Comedy show. Top 5 Episodes: 1. Song for Europe 2. The Old Grey Whistle Theft 3. The Mainland 4. Competition Time 5. Flight into Terror I like Neil Hannon's Divine Comedy too - but his best album is Casanova. His best single is The Perfect Lovesong - which does "exactly what it says on the tin."
March 5, 200718 yr Author Ooh, it won't let me vote cus I don't know any albums - which is probably a bit of a travesty really - and it doesn't let me vote for just an episode and a single :( why dont you say Casanova as thats got the theme tune for father ted on it. ''songs of love''
March 5, 200718 yr why dont you say Casanova as thats got the theme tune for father ted on it. ''songs of love'' Well okay . . . but it feels a bit like cheating as I haven't actually heard the album! I never was one for the lying!
March 5, 200718 yr Author A truly brilliant series, one of the half dozen greatest comedy series ever produced as far as I'm concerned... Dermot Morgan is sadly missed... :( did anyone ever see his original Irish TV shows before Father Ted, he is supposed to ave done a character similar to this
