Well we had the wedding, and a good time was had by all judging by the number of bottles of wine, and the trayfuls of canapes that were hungrily consumed, even before we sat down!! The whole thing was fairly informal - just as if you were going to a big party - oh but by the way there'll be a marriage and a few piccies in between.

 

The theme was pink and white hydrangeas and cabbage roses - they were everywhere right down to the cake and the confetti which consisted of the flowers dried. The bride's mother was different - she had hyacinths!!! The bride looked beautiful and wore what I can only describe as a boa on her head, the stand-in best man wore flip-flops and one of the guests came in shorts!!! :lol: She was played in to Vivaldi, and they walked out to jazz. It rained all through the ceremony, and the photographer had to stand on a ladder with someone holding an enormous umbrella over him, whilst we all stood under the colonnade - we were all in hysterics, whether that was because of the wine or the mere madness of it all, who can tell. We had jazz playing the whole of the breakfast, which incidentally was very good, and which consisted in part of lobster mash with summer greens and leeks!! :lol: And the sun finally made an appearance when we were all eating.

I'm glad you all had a good day chrysalis, shame about the weather but it didn't seem to dampen anyone's mood.

Think it may well be - my OZ cousin has just rung me to say she's wearing her Chinese silk outfit that she had made by "her little man round the corner" when she lived in Bejing, and she hopes it doesn't rain otherwise she may have to take it off and go in her bra and pants

No - as when we got there it wasn't raining. It wouldn't have been a pretty sight though as my cousin seems to have put on an enormous amount of weight since I saw her in OZ only 6/7 weeks ago. Now that doesn't surprise me as they ate as if they'd starved themselves for the last year!!!! However I did put on a lightweight windcheater over my finery just in case!! :lol:

 

And the stand-in best man really did wear flip-flops - he looked tousled too, just as if at the last moment he'd decided there was something he needed to attend and got out of bed. :lol: Seeing them reminded me of Will, especially at that venue. When we arrived (and left) I was looking at the house and then the green area in front, visualising the last time I was there. Couldn't believe that the stage, backstage, booths AND 15,000 people crammed into the area it seemed so small.

Yes they are, and in that I'm very lucky. I don't have a "normal" family, although this side of my family would consider themselves so. :o My other side are really crazy. :lol: Like the time one of my cousins decided it was a good idea to have a party, got all the food in, and wondered why no-one turned up. She'd forgotten to tell anybody. :wacko:

Jacqui of course I didn't mean you or any other (genuine ) Will fan :friends: and of course the thread is for all opinions, I just didn't appreciate Will123 going in like TT said and posting flamebait. I'm not really interested in Gareth now and I've never been a fan, so I can't be bothered giving an opinion on his music anymore, on an open forum anyway.
